I absolutely love giving back to the local community and raising money for charity, so it was a real pleasure to DJ at another Picnic in the Park event recently.

There’s nothing quite like seeing everyone come together, enjoying great music, and watching the kids have an absolute blast with all the games and activities... we even had the Mayor of Wokingham attend!!

This year, we managed to raise an amazing £169.41 for the Ollie Young Foundation. 🙏💛

A huge thank you to Vicky for all the hard work that goes into organising such a brilliant event. The sunny weather was certainly the cherry on top!

Looking forward to doing it all again next year 🎉

We absolutely loved DJing at Alex’s 18th birthday party last week! It was a fantastic house party, and with the sun shining, we even had a speaker outside so the music could carry on in the garden. Sorry neighbours!

A DJ’s Worst Nightmare…no, it’s not an empty dance floor.

It’s a sound limiter.

These devices are fitted in some venues to monitor noise levels. If the music exceeds the set limit for too long, they can cut the power to the DJ equipment, bringing the party to an abrupt stop.

The good news? An experienced DJ knows how to work with them.

At Vivid Events, we:
🎵 Speak with your venue before the big day.
🔊 Set our sound system correctly.
📊 Monitor volume throughout the evening.
💃 Keep the dance floor full while staying within the venue’s limits.

So if your venue has a sound limiter, don’t panic—it doesn’t mean your evening won’t be amazing. It just means you need a DJ who knows how to manage it.
