DANSON FIREWORKS IS BACK!

We’re excited to announce that Made in Kent Radio is the Official Media Partner & Stage Host for Danson Fireworks 2026! 🎙️🎶

We’ll be there helping to bring the atmosphere to Danson Park, hosting the stage and keeping you entertained as we build up to a spectacular 20-minute fireworks display! 🎆

Have you ever wanted to get involved in radio, broadcasting or media?

Made in Kent Radio is looking for volunteers to join our team for live broadcasts from the Kent County Show at Detling Showground, Maidstone on:

📅 Friday 3rd July
📅 Saturday 4th July
📅 Sunday 5th July

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in live radio production, interviewing, presenting, social media, content creation and event broadcasting.

No experience is necessary – just enthusiasm, reliability and a passion for radio and local events. Full training and support will be provided.

Exciting news for local radio in Kent!

Greenwich Media CIC has officially acquired the Made in Kent Radio brand and assets, securing the future of the much-loved station from 2 March 2026.

Founded five years ago by experienced presenter Matt James, Made in Kent Radio was created in the wake of COVID-19 to champion local businesses and deliver truly local content. After moving into Bluewater Shopping Centre in 2024, the station sadly closed in December 2025 due to financial pressures.

Now, with the team behind Maritime Radio at the helm, the station is set for an exciting new chapter with a countywide DAB launch planned for April 2026. Listeners can continue to enjoy a mix of 80s to today’s hits, local news, features and family-friendly entertainment, plus the return of the Media Academy to support young people into broadcasting.

Made in Kent Radio remains available via the app and on smart speakers - just say, “Play Made in Kent Radio.”
