The Met Office has issued two amber warnings for snow and ice on Thursday.

They cover the south Pennines and the Peak District from 12:00 to 18:00, and north Wales and north-west Shropshire from 08:00 GMT to 15:00.

Snowfall is expected to range from 10 to 15 cm (4-6 in) across the warning zones, and up to 25 cm (10 in) on higher terrain.

It is predicted that the snow would become "persistent and at times heavy" in the morning and then gradually lessen throughout the day.

Police believe that the suspect in the Clapham alkali attack was in a relationship with the injured woman, and that relationship's breakup may have served as his motivation.

It is thought that the woman, who is still under sedation in the hospital, was sent a meeting invitation by Abdul Shokoor Ezedi, 35.

According to the most recent police bulletin, he is wanted for attempted murder.

Following the attack on the mother and her two daughters in south London on January 31, he was last seen.

Ezedi was contacted by the Metropolitan Police to turn himself in.

During Prime Minister's Questions, Mr Sunak ridiculed Sir Keir Starmer for U-turning on the "definition of a woman".

Sir Keir was visibly furious, saying: "Of all the weeks to say that when Brianna's mother is in this chamber."

But No 10 said it was "legitimate" to question the Labour leader's position.

Asked if the prime minister's comment was transphobic, his press secretary said: "I don't accept that at all."

The PM ridiculed Sir Keir Starmer's "definition of a woman" as Brianna Ghey's mother was visiting Parliament.

According to Buckingham Palace, King Charles has been diagnosed with a type of cancer.

The nature of the cancer is unknown; however, it was found during his most recent treatment for an enlarged prostate and is not prostate cancer.

According to the Palace, the King started "regular treatments" on Monday and would abstain from performing official obligations during the procedure.

Police have announced that a body has been located by divers looking for Julian De Bono, who has gone missing.

Just after 15:00 GMT, according to Suffolk Police, the co**se was discovered in the River Gipping in Ipswich by members of a specialised underwater search team.

The 63-year-old man's family has been notified, but the body has not yet been formally recognised, according to the force.

There will now be post-mortem examinations to determine the cause of death, which is being investigated as an unexplained death.

Mr. De Bono was observed approaching London Road on Yarmouth Road around 1:45 PM on Sunday, according to eyewitness accounts and CCTV evidence.

Alex Batty, a British adolescent who went missing six years ago, was discovered in France and is anticipated to return to the UK in the next few hours.

While on vacation in Spain in 2017 with his mother and grandfather, Alex disappeared.

The 17-year-old is not under his mother's parental guardianship, and it is unclear where she is at the moment.

On Wednesday, a driver near Toulouse who was travelling through the foothills of the French Pyrenees discovered Alex.

French prosecutor Antoine Leroy was quoted by the Agence France-Presse news agency in their story that the youngster will travel with British police officials on a trip from France.
