At the Bob Marley Museum the guide showed a lot of passion in sharing everything about Bob Marley’s history. She was talking and singing Bob Marley songs simultaneously. It was very fascinating to listen to her. Every time I visit somewhere related to Bob Marley e.g. a clothing shop, the mural, the songs, the shop selling w**d, the restaurant and more, I realise how influential Bob Marley is recognised worldwide

Where have I been with the summer vibes?

I have always wanted to travel to Jamaica, and recently, I spent 12 days there in August 2025. Anyone who has been with me the longest knows how strong my connections to Jamaica are because Ghana and Jamaica both share similar food, culture, traditions, places, history, and language. It's been unreal. I chose to visit the area known as Trench Town, where Bob Marley was born and grew up playing football and making music. Someone told me that this place was very dangerous, but I didn't think twice about cancelling the Trench Town Tour because I felt strong enough to visit and see what was going on. I didn't want to miss this good opportunity.

Directed by Charlie Dennis, Funded by BBC Films & The Arts Council and made with our close collaborator, SignKid - we’re so proud of the international festival success of Silent World. Most recently, Silent World was awarded the Art, Culture and Film prize from the National Lottery.

Created initially as part of the ‘Culture in Quarantine’ series to inform audiences of the deaf experience throughout the pandemic - The Silent World journey continues behind the scenes. For now, we’re thrilled to be able to share the short film for free with the world.
