Pivot was honoured to join the Jamaica Society in Leeds last week to broadcast their special VE Day81 memorial service.

Their moving tribute to the Caribbean RAF veterans of Leeds, was so well supported by the local community that a big screen was required for all to see the ceremony, which Pivot gave the live video feed to, along with livestreaming the event directly to their page. We helped the society bring the community together, even for those who couldn't be there in person.

Amongst the many moving tributes by the veterans families, supporters and officials from across the city, region, and nation - a beautiful new memorial plaque was unveiled along with the garden of Jamaica House being dedicated as a memorial to the Caribbean WW2 RAF Veterans courage and legacy. 🕊️

Our Pivot Productions team have been helping at Doncaster Racecourse, for theGoffs UK high-profile thoroughbred auction for their April Breeze Up Sale 2026.

There were two cameras in elevated positions which fed live images to big screens and TV monitors across the site, while simultaneously streaming live to YouTube.

The moment each horse completed its 'breeze up' run, it's video was being clipped, saved and uploaded to the Goffs UK website — ready for buyers to view on that horse’s own page, in preparation for the sale the next day.

Our commentary studio trailer was repurposed as a full Camera CCU suite, handling live colour grading across both cameras.

Commentary was positioned at the top of the racecourse grandstand, over half a kilometre away! connected to our production van via fibre optic cable which the Pivot team deployed.

The live stream was broadcast via a wireless point-to-point link to the Goffs UK auction house’s own internet connection.

With live graphics for every horse, video feeds to the big screen & on-site TVs, remote colour grading, supplying all comms’ between the Goffs UK team and our broadcast team plus the website management team — this broadcast was small in footprint, but complex in delivery….

….Adapting to the needs of every site and every client, that’s what we do. 💙

Our OB van provided broadcast facilities to the Goffs UK team at Aintree race course for a boutique sale of race horses during the Grand National Festival. This boutique sale focuses on top-tier National hunt pointers and bumpers.

Instantly updating graphics including lot information and bidding price, are all added over the live action from the sale ring, which was held in the Winners Enclosure at Antriee Racecourse. The Pivot team help coordinate the Goffs selling Team, with the RaceTech camera team, the Aintree Racecourse PA audio team, big screen and hospitality TVs, all to create an engaging experience for both the onsite and worldwide online audience and bidders.

The sale set new records with a £3,873,000 turn over for 26 lots sold. The horses averaging £148,962

When we created this funny edit of this unusual moment at the BEDE Events British Eventing Official from the Eventing Spring Carnival, Thoresby Park we hoped that everyone would giggle at our edit as much as we were! 🤣

Which given the 1.6 million views across FB, Insta and TikTok in the last week, along with the overwhelming quantity of positive comments and reactions, it’s safe to say that everyone has found it as amusing as we did whilst creating it! 🤣

🌧️Extreme winter weather? Our remote controlled broadcast cameras don’t mind.

This time of year is when Pivot’s outdoor PTZ cameras really prove their worth to Outside Broadcasts, delivering crystal-clear, rock-steady shots in conditions that would cause havoc to traditional broadcast cameras and their operators, especially when high up on a tower.

Before Pivot created our long distance remote control system for outdoor broadcasts, we too used to have to build expensive scaffolding towers and send an operator up into whatever the British weather felt like throwing at them.
(See the photo… we’ve come a long way! 👀)

But that challenge is exactly a reason that inspired us to rethink the possibilities.

Today we love getting creative on how and where we mount our PTZ cameras with our truss towers to give the audience a great view of the action - without the H&S risk, without the cost, without the risk to expensive broadcast kit and without any crew member being blasted by horizontal rain for 10 hours and suffering hypothermia!

Our PTZ cameras are built for the extremes:
✔️ Windscreen wipers to clear rain instantly
✔️ Heaters, fans & de-misters for all-weather lens clarity
✔️ 20x optical zoom & image stabilisation
✔️ Remote operation from a warm, dry control room
✔️ Full integration into PTZ-only or hybrid productions
✔️ Battery or plug-in operation

Whether you need one camera, a 40-camera PTZ production, or a hybrid setup, Pivot has the rigging kit, the expertise, and the reliability to make it happen; anywhere, in any weather. Our cameras have travelled the world, worked across top-tier reality TV shows, and continue to open creative possibilities, that were once impossible without major infrastructure builds.

🎥 A landmark moment for Pivot Productions.

The 2025 FEI European Eventing Championships at Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials stands as the most complex and prestigious broadcast we’ve delivered so far, where we were appointed as the official Host Broadcaster, sending a World Feed to multiple channels, who then put their own language of commentary over our pictures. We’re incredibly proud of the final product we delivered.

Being chosen as the Host Broadcaster for a multinational championship is a major milestone for any live production company. For Pivot, it reflects years of passion for story telling of the Equestrian sport of Eventing through innovation, problem-solving, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in large-scale event coverage. We're keen to bring this passion and innovation to any other live events and sports, who entrust us to tell their story to a wider audience.

Across five days of world-class sport, our team brought the action to a truly global audience via multiple channels, some of whom included:
🇬🇧 BBC (UK)
🇩🇪 ARD-TV (Germany)
🇸🇪 SVT (Sweden)
🌍 FEITV worldwide

Here's a snapshot of how we delivered the drama:
Day 1 = 2 x cameras for the Trot Up, 4 x cameras for the Opening Ceremony
Day 2 & 3 = 4 x cameras for the Dressage coverage, 1 x camera for the Press Conferences
Day 4 = 14 x cameras for the Cross Country coverage, 1 x camera for the Press Conference
Day 5 = 2 x cameras for the Trot Up, 6 x cameras for the Show Jumping coverage, 5 x cameras for the medal presentation ceremony, 1 x camera for the Press Conference.

From the cross-country drama to the electric atmosphere inside Blenheim’s iconic grounds, we’re honoured to have helped deliver this championship to viewers around the world.

Here’s a glimpse of the event as you saw it on screen... a production we’ll always be proud of. 🎬

🎥 Adapting to every challenge, that’s what we do best.

Whether it’s a compact one-day setup or a full-scale multi-camera production spanning kilometres of fibre optic cable, our approach stays the same: create a clean, quality broadcast that fits perfectly within your event.

Recently at Ascot Racecourse, we successfully deployed our compact Outside Broadcast Van to complement the extensive array of global productions during the Qipco Holdings British Champions Day Meeting. Although our contribution represented a small segment of the overall media landscape, it required meticulous planning and ex*****on to adapt our services effectively for this high-profile event, broadcasting the Goffs UK auction.

That’s the beauty of what we do at Pivot, we love working behind the scenes to make custom solutions to bring your creative vision to life.

Pivot Productions started as an idea during the UK COVID lockdowns of 2020 and has grown into five years of live broadcast innovation. 🎉

Paul Tapner Eventing Team was thinking about using PTZ cameras for the Event Rider Masters Sporting Series. He had been repeatedly told by PTZ broadcast experts that there wasn't a way to cover the very large outdoor areas that Equestrian Eventing sport ran over with remotely controlled PTZ cameras; most systems were built for stadiums. 📹

Undeterred and up for the challenge, Paul teamed up with tech whizz Ben Norton, and together they designed a system to use weatherproof PTZ cameras over long distances via fibre optic cables. The result? High-quality, cost-effective outside broadcasts that could cover vast areas - something that had never been done before.

As soon as the COVID lockdown allowed, the system was tested at a pilot event at Chedington Equestrian , and straight away Pivot was professionally broadcasting to multiple channels using the new bespoke outdoor long-range PTZ camera system. Since then, Pivot has gone from equestrian events to motorsport, fashion shows, reality TV, and more, with our cameras now travelling worldwide to do their job. 🌍

We continue to innovate, combining PTZ and traditional manned cameras to give clients the ultimate perspective on live sports and events. Here’s to continuing to grow, push boundaries, and tell incredible stories for years to come.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey so far, our 5th birthday wouldn’t be possible without you! 🙌
