🎥 A landmark moment for Pivot Productions.

The 2025 FEI European Eventing Championships at Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials stands as the most complex and prestigious broadcast we’ve delivered so far, where we were appointed as the official Host Broadcaster, sending a World Feed to multiple channels, who then put their own language of commentary over our pictures. We’re incredibly proud of the final product we delivered.

Being chosen as the Host Broadcaster for a multinational championship is a major milestone for any live production company. For Pivot, it reflects years of passion for story telling of the Equestrian sport of Eventing through innovation, problem-solving, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in large-scale event coverage. We're keen to bring this passion and innovation to any other live events and sports, who entrust us to tell their story to a wider audience.

Across five days of world-class sport, our team brought the action to a truly global audience via multiple channels, some of whom included:

🌍 FEITV worldwide

Here's a snapshot of how we delivered the drama:
Day 1 = 2 x cameras for the Trot Up, 4 x cameras for the Opening Ceremony
Day 2 & 3 = 4 x cameras for the Dressage coverage, 1 x camera for the Press Conferences
Day 4 = 14 x cameras for the Cross Country coverage, 1 x camera for the Press Conference
Day 5 = 2 x cameras for the Trot Up, 6 x cameras for the Show Jumping coverage, 5 x cameras for the medal presentation ceremony, 1 x camera for the Press Conference.

From the cross-country drama to the electric atmosphere inside Blenheim’s iconic grounds, we’re honoured to have helped deliver this championship to viewers around the world.

Recently at Ascot Racecourse, we successfully deployed our compact Outside Broadcast Van to complement the extensive array of global productions during the Qipco Holdings British Champions Day Meeting. Although our contribution represented a small segment of the overall media landscape, it required meticulous planning and ex*****on to adapt our services effectively for this high-profile event, broadcasting the Goffs UK auction.

Pivot Productions started as an idea during the UK COVID lockdowns of 2020 and has grown into five years of live broadcast innovation. 🎉

Paul Tapner Eventing Team was thinking about using PTZ cameras for the Event Rider Masters Sporting Series. He had been repeatedly told by PTZ broadcast experts that there wasn't a way to cover the very large outdoor areas that Equestrian Eventing sport ran over with remotely controlled PTZ cameras; most systems were built for stadiums. 📹

Undeterred and up for the challenge, Paul teamed up with tech whizz Ben Norton, and together they designed a system to use weatherproof PTZ cameras over long distances via fibre optic cables. The result? High-quality, cost-effective outside broadcasts that could cover vast areas - something that had never been done before.

As soon as the COVID lockdown allowed, the system was tested at a pilot event at Chedington Equestrian , and straight away Pivot was professionally broadcasting to multiple channels using the new bespoke outdoor long-range PTZ camera system. Since then, Pivot has gone from equestrian events to motorsport, fashion shows, reality TV, and more, with our cameras now travelling worldwide to do their job. 🌍

We continue to innovate, combining PTZ and traditional manned cameras to give clients the ultimate perspective on live sports and events. Here’s to continuing to grow, push boundaries, and tell incredible stories for years to come.

Community-powered coverage from Burgham International 🎥

Last weekend, we delivered four full days of cross-country eventing from the Burgham International Horse Trials , broadcasting every stride live for ClipMyHorse.TV Great Britain 🙌

Huge congratulations to Piggy March , who led from the front riding Halo, finishing on an incredible dressage score of 19.8 to convincingly win one of the CCI4*-S classes. Proudly sponsored by Project Pony ! 🏆

What made this event special?

With commentary led by the brilliant Ben King, and support from our long-time collaborator Tapner Eventing Team , the broadcast brought the excitement and emotion of top-tier British Eventing sport to screens worldwide.

This was a true community production, crewed by passionate eventing fans, along with a few willing (and occasionally roped-in!) brothers, sons, and partners. It’s this collaborative spirit that powers our unique model: professional-standard coverage with a grassroots heart.

We’re proud to support both Fédération Equestre Internationale and FEI Eventing in showcasing the sport on an international stage - at a fraction of the expected cost.

At the start of July, Pivot Productions was on-site at Aston le Walls Equestrian Centre, delivering full broadcast coverage of the eventing action for Horse & Country TV .

Congratulations to Max Warburton Eventing , the stand-out winner of the CCI4* class... a brilliant performance! 🏆

This event also gave us the chance to put some new kit to the test, enabling fast-turnaround rider interviews from multiple locations around the equestrian centre, all incorporated seamlessly into the live broadcast. 🎙️🚀

With commentary from the amazing Lucinda Green MBE , Ben King, and Ginny Howe Eventing , and a stellar crew including Alex Byrd, Tapner Eventing Team , Mark Jennings, and our friends at Feral Film & Broadcast , it was a real team effort to bring top-quality sport to the screen.

Whether it's rider reactions, on-the-ground insight or remote camera control, we’re always pushing for more creative, flexible coverage. Behind the Broadcast at Belsay1 BE International Event 2025. 🎥

2 live days. 1 greenfield site.
Oh, and 1 very flat trailer tyre. 😅

But nothing stops a Pivot production. From setting up remote PTZ cameras in the middle of nowhere to capturing every stride, stumble, and celebration, we delivered live coverage of CCI4*, Advanced, and Novice classes at this year’s Belsay BE.

Awesome☀️day for a site visit to Blenheim Palace to plan how we are all going to make the Fédération Equestre Internationale European FEI Eventing Championships a top class event at the Agria Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials September event this year.

An honour to be able to work with a legend of British Eventing Official sport; Mark Phillips, whose CV as both an Event Rider and a XC Course Designer is phenomenal.
