The Award Seeking Backtracking is back on Hospital Radio Ipswich from 10 tomorrow. Music Day is on Sunday 6 July and our very own Ipswich Hospital Community Choir will be performing. I caught up with them at last Wednesdays rehearsal and we will hear from their MD Nick Coleman about this very important gig in their calendar.
Ruby Shoes Podcast host Stephanie Mackentyre will be giving us the low down on what to see at Suffolks theatres.
As always the Battle of the Barbers will be on form to make you chuckle.

Showing the County how it’s really done 📻

🥳 We are overjoyed to announce that Suffolk Sound is a finalist in the 2025 for Positive Impact in the Community!

Our nomination was one of 15 entries and to be a finalist is simply the most amazing sense of gratitude we can have.

When we started Suffolk Sound, everything we wanted to do was about putting the community right at our heart. From our fabulous presenters to our supportive advertisers and to you, we owe you everything.

We knew we could do something different. We wanted to put the fun back into radio, led by a love of Suffolk and radio, not by payroll and profit. Visible, high profile, great quality radio based around the community - like it used to be!

The support and love we get from our listeners is overwhelming and we love you all. We especially love the many fantastic organisations and campaigns we have been able to support including Cancer Support Suffolk, St Elizabeth Hospice, brave.futures and Operation Santa Appeal - giving a voice and platform to those that have a story to tell plus, the countless events we've been lucky to be part of across the County including Ipswich Music Day, Christchurch Park Fireworks, Suffolk Show, Orwell Challenge and the First Light Festival to name just a few.

What makes us most proud is that every week we broadcast more hours live on air from Suffolk than any other station including commercial, community and yes the BBC.
