Guess what? Launches are my jam – and surprisingly, the more I say that to people the more they’re like, “HOW!?” I honestly didn’t realise that the majority of launches we see today are fuelled with chaos behind the scenes.

And don’t get me wrong, I’ve definitely been behind the scenes of the crazy launches… Which is more reason how I know the types of triggers that lead to the chaos, and how to swerve them at all costs.

💸 My way of launching: keep it clean, make it fun, PLAN. All it needs after that is your secret sauce and you’ve got yourself a launch that is set-up to succeed.

That said, here’s the reason why your launch is ~probably~ stressing you the f out (or one of the reasons…):

The 3 Free Photo Editing Apps I Use 📷

This one’s gonna be quick and simple today, folks! A couple of you have asked which editing apps I use for my photos so I’m going to share the three main ones I use for myself and other clients. And yes, these are all freeee, baby! 🤑

👌 Note: There are so many filters out there and trends are constantly changing. So, I recommend going with a filter or editing style that is closest to your brand rather than that which is one trend at the moment. You wouldn’t want to feel left behind when an editing style undoubtedly changes after a few months. Whilst change is good, consistency is key!

- I’ve used this editing software for a while, mostly on my personal account () and more recently for my images on my .communications feed. I love that it offers atmospheric, earthy tones to its filter packs. 🌱 Free to download with plenty of free packs to choose from and ideal for mindful makers or wellness service providers.

- This editor is FUN. If you’re wanting to base your feed around particular shades or tones that work with your brand, this is your opportunity to play. It’s free to download, but with a little less free packs to choose, however there are many fun edits within this app that you can’t get anywhere else i.e. sparkles, glimmer, film effects and more. ✨ Ideal for bloggers.

- Simple, crisp and clear edits that don’t require a downloaded app (so long as you have an Android phone or a Google account to use the desktop editor). If you’re hoping for a ‘no filter’ approach, this is great for sharpening up your images, vamping the colour and adjusting for immediate upload. Ideal for those selling a product.

How To Organise Your Instagram Highlights Effectively 🟠🟡🟢🟣🟤

When a user lands on your Instagram profile, their judgment of whether or not they want to follow you falls on a few factors. Today, I’m going to touch on the importance of using your Instagram Highlights section effectively to keep that user where you want 'em!

In the wellness industry, it’s important to remember that whilst you must have a great offering for your customers to buy into, a lot of the time people are buying into YOU and your USP (unique selling point). This is what sets you apart from your competitors and what keeps those followers along for the ride. ✌️

That said, you want to ensure that the way your organise your Instagram Highlights reflects three focal points:

🤔 What your business is - Do you own a yoga studio? Are you a massage therapist? Are you a mindful maker? Have one of your highlights touching on this and feel free to gush about what it is you’re selling! Your passion will shine through to your audience.

🛠️ What is going on behind the scenes - Are you a personal growth coach? Are you writing a book? Include snippets of your BTS processes or maybe offer quick-fire coaching in your stories. We want to see the people behind the brand for this one, so let yourself shine through!

✨ What makes it unique - Do you run online courses? Do you have a specific product collection to promote? Are you producing a podcast? Let us know what you do to stand out from the rest.

Essentially, you want to use your IG highlights like a menu on a website - navigating people to where you want them to go and what you want them.to see!

It can be difficult to promote yourself if you’re particularly introverted or it simply doesn’t come naturally to you (I still struggle with this today!). But, you can’t expect people to buy into you without knowing what makes you special. This is your moment to get creative and market your brand with intention.

I have been following Terra Quilting Co. since last summer and what started as an account featuring embellished creations and a makers’ process with a few hundred followers has turned into a go-to account blanketed in both peaceful and vibrant patterned handmade, sustainable quilts.

A reason I love this brand is because of the way in which quilter Kim varies each post from spotlighting a product to showing you how the quilts can be enjoyed, from breeze-blowing shots to idyllic moments in nature. 💭 Her intentions as a mindful maker are clear through each photo and make each product all the more desirable to invest.

🖼️ Here’s a throwback to a marketing mood board I made up for when we started working together. After seeing so many branding experts create beautiful mood boards for their clients to visually define a brand, I wondered how I could use the tool in marketing for my clients. So, I opened up a template on and got creative!
~
I do these for myself so that if I am ever having a little trouble getting clear on a businesses intentions, vision or goals, I just come back to my mini-mood board to remind me. Whilst many wellness entrepreneurs are often wearing all the hats, this practice is a fun opportunity to come back to the WHY of your business and a creative opportunity to focus on the HOW of communicating it to your audience. 💖

👉 Now, Your Turn: Whether you’ve been in the wellness game for a while or have only just started, create a vision board or digital marketing mood board featuring the following elements:
✅ Brand assets (logos, colours, fonts)
✅ 3 images that define what your business is, who it’s for and what it does
✅ Common keywords and phrases used to describe your brand and it’s motivations (i.e. for L&L, it’s “community”
✅ The social media channels you operate on to reach your audience
✅ Any extra elements that make your business unique
