Fire and rescue teams responded to the Walkden Street car park on Saturday after reports of "structural damage." The surrounding area was immediately cordoned off for safety.
The car park had been closed since February of the previous year due to ongoing safety issues.
Authorities have stated they are collaborating with structural engineers to secure the site and assess potential solutions for stabilizing the structure moving forward.
