🌕 The Full Sturgeon Moon — August 9, 2025
On this night, the final supermoon of summer rises — luminous, golden, and steeped in ancient tradition.
Named by Native American tribes after the sturgeon fish most easily caught this time of year, this moon has guided generations across forests, rivers, and still lakes.
Visible shortly after sunset, the Full Sturgeon Moon will appear larger and brighter than usual — especially near the horizon.
Its light reflects off snow-dusted peaks and ripples across quiet waters, a glowing reminder of the rhythms of Earth and sky.
📍 Best viewed: away from city lights
🕰 Peak illumination: near midnight
