The To***co & Vapes Bill puts our livelihoods at risk, pushing customers toward illegal products and taking away sales from independent retailers, giving them straight to criminals.

Worse still, the abuse of shop workers is rising. Asking adults for I.D. under this new law will only make it worse.

Association of Convenience Stores has welcomed the Home Secretary’s Safer Streets Initiative on town centre crime and anti-social behaviour, calling for meaningful action to tackle retail crime, anti-social behaviour and rogue traders.

The Safer Streets Summer Blitz, launched today as part of the Government’s Plan for Change, will benefit over 500 towns across England. Plans outlined in the initiative include increased police patrols near shops and community centres, as well as local action to tackle high street crime and anti-social behaviour such as banning perpetrators from hotspots.

This weeks Store of The Week goes to McKillop's SPAR Ballymena, for going the extra mile to support local schools!

For the fifth year in a row, the store has donated over 30 sports day kits to help three local schools Braidside Primary, Kirkinriola Primary, and Castle Tower School – host unforgettable sports days.

Each kit was packed with banners, posters, race bibs, running tape, medals, and essential water and healthy snacks to keep the pupils energised and smiling all day long.
