ACS Association of Convenience Stores has responded to the Welsh Government’s consultation on the introduction of a Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) in Wales, warning that glass cannot be included in the scheme and must be considered separately. The Welsh Government is attempting to introduce a deposit return scheme that includes plastic, aluminium and steel containers, as well as glass containers being included in the scheme but with no deposit until 2030.
