We were lucky enough to have had the privilege of interviewing John a couple of years back for our popular 'Marina Matters' feature that showcased Darthaven Marina. John is a humble and lovely man, who's passion for the marina, berth holders and his team runs through his core, it's not just a business, it's been his life, passed down from his equally devoted parents. John continues to move great waves as he and his incredible team continue to invest and develop the site and services that are Darthaven Marina.
It's been a while since we introduced the incredible team that make Darthaven Marina what it is today, and where better to start than with CEO John Holman.
John’s connection to the water runs deep. From transforming Darthaven Marina into the thriving one-stop marina we know today, to steering our latest expansion into Plymouth, John has guided Darthaven Marina through every tide of change with clarity, care, and commitment.
His belief in doing things right, not just fast is embedded in everything from our customer service standards to our industry-leading environmental practices. And with over 50 years of heritage behind the marina - John’s drive to evolve and improve remains as strong as ever.
John shared, "I have worked at Darthaven for 42 years and overseen many challenges and developments. I still enjoy coming in to work to meet the staff and our customers. I hope to continue for many more years.”
