In the final part of our Ian Huntley trilogy, Psycho Killer: Shocking True Crime Stories asks: can a psychopath ever truly feel remorse? And if they can’t be cured—can they at least be taught to reform?

We explore Huntley’s prison behaviour and recorded expressions of regret, set against the pioneering research of British forensic psychologist Dee Anand. His group, Beyond Diagnosis, argues that even psychopathy can be addressed—if we ask not “what’s wrong with you?” but “what happened to you?”

Fingerprints may not grab headlines like DNA, but they’ve been solving crimes for over a century. In this episode, Jacques Morrell shares stories from his detective career where fingerprints cracked cases ranging from burglary and cheque fraud to cold-blooded murder.

Simon and Jacques also trace the history of fingerprinting: from its discovery in the 19th century, to the first conviction in Argentina in 1892, and high-profile British murder cases where a single print made all the difference.

Join us as we reveal how fingerprints remain one of the most reliable—and sometimes overlooked—tools in forensic science.

Serial Killers, Guns, and Pop Culture: America’s Darkest Export

Part Two of our two-part investigation asks the chilling question:

Why does the United States continue to produce more serial killers than anywhere else?

We uncover the systemic forces that helped monsters thrive:
Killer bureaucracy – how red tape and law enforcement silos allowed predators to roam free.
Pop culture obsession – how Bundy, Dahmer, and Gacy became icons of horror.

Gun culture – why fi****ms gave American killers a deadly edge.

The future – are Millennials and Gen Z truly less likely to spawn serial killers?

From the influence of the NRA to the FBI’s pioneering Behavioural Analysis Unit, this is a chilling look at America’s love-hate relationship with its most notorious criminals.

The United States has given the world more serial killers than any other country—an unsettling fact backed by decades of data.

But why?

In Part One of this two-part special, Simon Ford and Jacques Morrell dig into the disturbing truth behind America’s dark reputation. From the rise of suburbia after WWII to the trauma of Vietnam, from law enforcement failures to the psychology of psychopaths in suits, we uncover the “perfect storm” that allowed killers like Jeffrey Dahmer, Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy, Samuel Little, and the Golden State Killer to thrive.

What makes America such fertile ground for serial killers?

How did suburbia and isolation hide monsters in plain sight?

And is the American Dream itself a mask for psychopathy?

Fiskerton is a quiet village in Nottinghamshire on the west bank of the River Trent.
On the other side of the river is East Stoke where in the summer of 1487 it witnessed bloodshed when the last battle of the infamous Wars of the Roses took place.
It saw bloodshed again in the summer of 1864 when Richard Thomas Parker murdered his mother.
Parker was the last person to be publicly hanged at Nottingnam's Shire Hall, now the National Justice Museum.

How do you solve a murder when the most crucial piece of evidence—the victim’s body—is missing?

That was the chilling challenge faced by detectives in Nottingham, England, when Polish street drinker Bogdan Nawrocki vanished without a trace. Forensic evidence pointed to a brutal and violent end, but without a body, could they prove it was murder?

To this day, Nawrocki’s remains have never been found. What happened to him—and how did investigators pursue justice without the one thing that could confirm his fate?
