Nothing says summer quite like a table full of bold flavours, smoky goodness, and dishes that practically demand to be photographed. We have the absolute pleasure to have been working with Smoke & Rye () since September ’24 and are ALWAYS excited for our monthly content shoots with them. Their summer menu did not dissapoint…

Armed with a detailed content brief, we hit the road to Stone, Staffordshire, to shoot on site, meet the team, and get stuck into creating a fresh bank of professional content.

The result? A gorgeous gallery of imagery now living its best life across their socials, website, and email marketing, plus a series of scroll-stopping reels that are already making waves.

Here’s a sneak peek at some of the dishes we captured (and yes, they taste as good as they look):

Nestled in the Welsh countryside, The Laundry Retreat (The Laundry) is the kind of place that makes you exhale the second you arrive.

We visited to create content that could show just how special this space is, without needing a single word. Peaceful cabins, curated interiors, slow mornings, and the kind of light you can’t fake.

This wasn’t a hard sell. It was a quiet story, beautifully told.

We focused on:
Ambient, lifestyle-led visuals
Clean edits that preserved the calm and character
Content their team could use across web, email, social and print

No voiceovers. No cheesy captions. Just content that captures the magic.

This shoot started the way all good creative sessions should - with coffee, ideas flying, and a shared obsession with making things feel just right.

The brief: capture the essence of Arighi Bianchi’s (Arighi Bianchi) Beverly Hills-inspired menu for their jaw dropping Postcards from LA Campaign. Elevated, warm, sun-soaked and effortlessly glamorous.

We started with studio lighting to emulate a soft, golden glow. It worked beautifully. But then… we experimented.
→ Off came the diffusers.
→ In came a plastic palm leaf.
→ We taped it to the light and created bold, tropical shadows — the kind of detail that made every plate feel like it was basking in LA sunlight.

It was instinctive, collaborative, and genuinely one of our favourite creative risks to date.

But let’s be clear; the real magic came from the kitchen.

Arighi’s Head Chef and his team delivered a menu that was not only beautifully conceived, but meticulously plated. Every dish was a work of art. We just helped frame it.

A true collaboration from prep to post.

The Stafford Arms is a family-owned, independent pub tucked away in Stafford, and we were introduced through one of our other lovely clients. (Shoutout to word of mouth for doing its thing.)

They’d just launched a new menu and needed content that made it look as good as it tasted. We showed up with cameras, lenses, and about 3 hours' worth of appetite.

The brief was simple: showcase the food in a way that feels warm, premium, and totally unpretentious. The kind of content that says “this is great food made by good people” — without over-styling or over-selling.

What we delivered:
Clean, scroll-stopping shots for their feed
Detail-driven images for their website and menus
Content that makes you book a table BEFORE finishing your scroll

Michelle Thomas (), author, queen of honesty, and one of the most refreshing voices we've had the pleasure of capturing!

She travelled from Bristol to shoot personal branding content with us in Manchester, and we knew straight away: this needed to feel real. Not posed. Not polished to death. Just… Michelle.

We planned three spots across the city, wandered in between, and captured a library of images packed with personality.

The shots were used to promote her book, My S**t Therapist, but honestly? They say a lot more than “I’m launching something.”

They say, “I’ve got something to say, and you're going to listen.”

We love our clients. We cheerlead for them. Celebrate them. Bend over backwards to make them feel confident, supported, and seen.

But we’re also not afraid to say “this isn’t working” or “this idea could be better.”
Because the job isn’t to agree. The job is to deliver results, not be yes people.

And sometimes that means asking better questions. Saying no. Pushing for more. Challenging a brief. Explaining why beige content won’t cut it anymore.
