A pleasure to welcome in members of The National Trust of Scotland again this year, recording a poem for the upcoming annual Brodie Castle illumination event that runs through November.

Part of my job is usually trying to keep people calm before doing something as intimidating as recording one’s self. I have to say though both Stephen & Anne were absolute naturals! And hit it out the park first time! 👏🎉😁 Well done guys, pleasure meeting you both.

Will be back up at Borough Briggs this week for Borough Briggs Beat. This week Stefan Laird will be one of two speaking to Chris. Recorded a couple podcasts where Stefan’s been on the last year or so. Not only a top coach, but also has impeccable comedic timing 😂.

Here’s a moment that nearly made me spit a mouth full of water out all over all my equipment. 🤣.

So a bit of a massive change coming for me in the coming days. After years of using Adobe Creative Cloud for my all intensive editing purposes, I am now making the leap to Blackmagic’s Davinci Resolve studio. I must admit, I’m a bit intimidated, as change can be I suppose in many facets of life. In reality the principles of editing as a whole remain the same, all but in different placements of tools etc 😅.

Adobe has served me well, I was a professionally accredited in using Premiere Pro for three years, and I’ll miss the familiarity of it, but also excited to begin a new learning process! I use Blackmagic cameras, Blackmagic video switcher to record said cameras for podcasts, about time I should probably use their editing software for workflow purposes if anything else! 😅

Would highly recommend any person beginning editing to take up any of the Adobe accredited qualifications via person cue and Certiport. Well worth it and taught me a lot of fundamentals, even when I’d been editing for over two years before doing the course and exam. Exam is on American time, so prepare for sitting exam at 1am 😳😂.

Some photos to represent the journey, as well as the third photo being the time Premiere Pro trolled me, creating an interesting shape in the colour scope whilst grading a documentary I made a few years back. 😂😂😂

Incredibly fun project to film a video of Lossiemouth Football Club’s Youth Development’s pre-season. Incredibly happy with how the video turned out!

To be honest, I was actually kind of overwhelmed by how massive an operation the local youth system is. Great to see, and good signs for the clubs future. Always good to see some Coasters legends coaching the next generation of players too!

Can film podcasts on the road for clients! Just maybe not in the middle of a storm again, as myself and Lee nearly got merked by a falling tree on the drive home 🤣🤣

Football Journals on tour tonight, as we braved the storm and travelled through to the Broch, for a chat with Fraserburgh legend, former Elgin City player, and current Broch United manager Russell McBride.

Really enjoyable conversation with yet another highland league legend. Episode coming to you soon.
