99 days to Christmas!

🎅 WHERE TO VISIT SANTA
Where have you been? Where would you recommend (or not)?

So many places have released their tickets for Santa's grottos.
There are the all out mega Christmas experiences, something in the middle or keep it simple & sweet at a school fair or Christmas market.

🎄Lots of ideas here in my guide and I'll add in any of the free & low cost ones as they get announced closer to the time. Just head to the comments below and I've popped the guide in there.

Chessington World of Adventures Resort and Official LEGOLAND Windsor are great for the full works Christmas experience

The annual Christmas fair in Farnborough Town Centre and Aldershot Town Centre has the opportunity to meet the big man free of charge

We've been to Chobham Adventure Farm and had the most wonderful experience there.

When you put 10 people, 1 dog and a canal boat together… what could possibly go wrong? 😂🚤

We found the perfect adventure for the whole family and with ages from 5years to 72years it was fun for everyone.

Despite the classic British weather ☔, we spent the day cruising, laughing, exploring locks and making memories together. Noah and Bella even got to help operate the locks — and Noah was absolutely fascinated! 💙

Of course, there had to be a little drama… when the boat decided to drift sideways in the lock! (Rookie mistake not having the ropes tight enough) 🤭
Thankfully, our crew saved the day.

Along the way we enjoyed spotting the other canal boats, wildlife, people on paddle boards, a canoe and lots of beautiful scenery. We enjoyed a refreshing pub stop and a place to stretch our legs.

This autumn you can also experience Hobbledown Heath Pumpkin Patch AFTER DARK with Pumpkin Nights! 🍂🌙 select evenings from 16th Oct

Think glowing lanterns, pumpkins galore and a magical autumn atmosphere the whole family can enjoy 🧡

If you're going in the day and want to make it a big day out then you can add on all-day anytime entry to Hobbledown Heath. We've had some great times there.

From farm animals, soft play, and incredible outdoor play areas - there is something to entertain everyone ☺

🌳 Fancy being outside then you can explore the four themed villages. Explore Wilderness Woods, Cribble Creek, Buckbridge Market & The Mining Village. Each area is beautifully crafted, and is a children dream adventure. Both Noah and Bella love exploring, and playing hide and seek in the houses.

🐐 There is also a selection of animals which you can see. From Falconry Birds, Highland Cows, Goats, Meerkats, Ponies or why not get up close to see the Lemurs through the walkthrough.
👶🏼 Now the softplay, where to start. This is epic, it has to be one of the largest soft play areas that we’ve been too. So much so that I actually did loose Noah at one point. Split into two areas, there is one side dedicated to toddlers which has their own slide, interactive play areas, roller beams, tunnels and crawl through nets.
🧒🏻 Then for the older children there is a lot packed into this soft play.

Last of the 2026 Surrey firestation open days is this Sunday

Meet Surrey’s firefighters, see fire engines and rescue equipment and watch live demonstrations.

A dedicated Additional Needs and Disabilities hour will take place from 10am to 11am, before general admission begins. This quieter early-entry period is intended for visitors who may benefit from additional support.

If you’re spending the day in London with the kids, put this one on your list! 👑🌳
The Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Playground reopened this summer after a huge £3 million makeover.

Right next to Kensington Palace, this enormous FREE playground a great break on a day trip sightseeing. Sometimes kids simply need to run wild.

🏴‍☠️ The giant wooden galleon sits on a sandy beach, it has two crow’s nests to climb, a tunnel slide, telescope, play kitchen and plenty of little nooks to explore.
🌳 The Treehouse of Dreams has three towers to scramble up, another tunnel slide and an accessible walkway packed.
🐊 The water play area features a giant crocodile, dams and channels for kids to experiment with. It wasn’t running in the summer with the hosepipe ban.
🛝 There’s also a lovely redesigned area for younger children with timber houses, play ships and a large sandpit.

Lots has gone into making the playground inclusive and accessible, with different ways for children to climb, explore, imagine, create and play together.

And the whole thing has been inspired by Peter Pan, which gives it that extra bit of magic ✨

It’s such a great addition to a London day out especially when you need a break from museums, palaces and sightseeing!
