Flashback to a few weeks ago when team Truelove Music embarked on our most recent trip to Los Angeles for all things sync. Both CEO John Truelove and Head of Licensing Vicky Devine were in attendance at a range of events and meetings including visits to studios and advertising agencies discussing our amazing roster and catalogue of music. Fabulous to see the advertising for Nine Perfect Strangers enroute in which we recently had a placement for GusGus’s incredible song “Higher” (Season 2 Episode 4) and which is currently streaming on Hulu . Big thanks to BPI and MPA for all the organising and to all we met and talked music & sync with along the way. Always a brilliant trip and fantastic to meet you all.

Starting the week with a big Truelove welcome to one of our newest signings and amazing DJ and producer “Melon Blush”. Hailing from Brazil, Pedro has been involved in electronic music for a number of years and brings a catalogue of absolute bangers with him including his recent release “Over and Over”. Fresh from a feature in Mixmag Turkey and with a raft of new music set for release this coming year we are excited to work with this brilliant artist and his “blushy multidirectional” sounds. Congratulations to everyone at Restless Films on the worldwide release of the wonderful Tony De Vit film “Don’t Ever Stop” which is now available on Amazon Prime and Vimeo It’s been a pleasure and an honour to work alongside you and representing such an amazing catalogue of music as well as remembering the life and times of iconic artist Tony De Vit. Congrats also to all those involved in the making of this wonderful documentary and for the awards it has already won. Long may the success continue as well as the legacy of this musical legend....

Truelove Music CEO, PRS board member and songwriter John Truelove is heading to London where he will be moderating a PRS for Music panel entitled “Demystifying Music Publishing” this Friday 21st March 2025 at AVA Festival Joining the panel are DJ /Producer Juicy Romance, songwriter and producer Jon Shave and SVP/A&R Hugo Turquet from BMG Publishing. The discussion will focus on the essentials of music publishing from the creative processes through to the all important royalty payments whilst also drawing on each of the panelists experience in the publishing world.

Last weekend saw the launch of UN Women ‘s global “March Forward” campaign featuring the GusGus song “Higher”. Lead by 13 National Committees including that of the bands home country UN Women Ísland, this campaign is one we are all very proud to be associated with. The goal of the campaign is to put gender equality at the centre of our conversations and push back against the ongoing backlash as well as to move forward in women’s rights worldwide. Truelove Music are all about “doing rights right” and that includes for women. We extend our celebration of women to the members of the Truelove Music team, our writers, artists and colleagues around the world - it’s an honour to work with you all.

Two weeks ago saw the release of this fabulous collaboration between Truelove singer-songwriter Lauren Nicole and rising UK talent Joshwa on Selected. Stepping slightly away from his traditional sound, Joshwa incorporates the wistful and beautiful vocals of Lauren whose lyrics are based on feelings of loss and the force of “Gravity” (as the track name also suggests ) to pull you through into this groovy techy number. Featuring in several of Joshwa’s mainstage shows and already garnering over half a million streams across the DSP’s as well as a play by Danny Howard on BBC Radio 1 - once heard you’ll be hooked. Available across all the major platforms - we couldn’t be happier than to see this across the airwaves.

Techno Tuesdays are back and what better way to start the day than with this beauty of a collab called “Rushing” on Truesoul. Chicago House legend Robert Owens lends his trademark sensual vocals to Axel Haube‘s debut on Adam Beyer ‘s imprint entwining techno drums with plucky synths and that wonderful top line. It’s already doing the business on dancefloors around the world and is available on all major streaming and download platforms. See link in the comments.
