Birmingham’s own alternative electro-funksters perform their eclectic ‘warped pop music’ with a sense of mischief.🎹

'Strange Little Girl' by the Stranglers was released on this day in July 1982. Originally written in 1974 and re-recorded and released in the UK in 1982 as their last single while signed to Liberty Records (part of EMI). By the time of release, the band had already decided to leave the label for Epic Records.

The single reached No. 7 in the UK Singles Chart.

OMD single 'Secret' was released on this day in July 1985.

The second single from the band's album 'Crush', it reached No. 34 in the UK charts. The single also became the band's second US Billboard Hot 100 entry, peaking at No. 63.
