I hear this one a lot so I’m sure you do too: “I want to invest in Facebook Ads, but they’re just too expensive and ineffective for a tiny budget like mine” 😵‍💫

And I’ve dealt with loads of people who've “had a go” and “dabbled a bit” with Facebook ads and come out the other end feeling a bit pee’d off, like they’ve wasted their cash, so assume that it’s just not for them. 😢

EVEN IF you haven’t got round to installing that Facebook pixel yet (because it just sounds too complicated), it’s totally possible to build a campaign on just a few pounds a day. 😇

All it takes is a planned approach to your ads and a great offer you know your customers love.

How often have you intended to watch something online, like a live event or a webinar, and bascially forgot? 😶‍🌫

It's normal AND means your customers are forgetful too.

So Insta's Reminder feature is pretty cool if your business runs Livestreams or online events.

You create a post about the event - let's say a Live Announcement that you're doing in a couple of weeks - and add the call-to-action "Remind Me".

When people see your post and click the Remind Me button, they'll get reminded to watch your Live Announcement the day before, 15 minutes before AND just as you're starting.

I reckon for businesses that use Lives as a core part of their content strategy, this feature will be really handy.

I'm going through an "I'm not as good as them" phase.
- Diagnosis?
- Acute Comparisonitis!

You know, when you compare yourself to everyone else in your sector or niche thereby making yourself feel inferior.

Why do so many of us go through this?
Luckily there's a quick remedy.
And here it is.

I remind myself of where I was 3 years ago (work-wise). Then 5 years ago. Then 10 years ago.
➡️ I left my marketing job at Co-operative Bank 10 years ago and we upped sticks from Manchester and moved to Gloucestershire to be closer to my parents.
➡️ 5 years ago I had a pretty good job at Nationwide Building Society and worked alongside some awesome people.
➡️ Then 3 years ago I broke away from employment and set up my own social media marketing business.

I would NEVER have done that 10 years ago. How awesome is that? 🤩

So to anyone today feeling a bit inadequate work-wise: think back over the past few years and remind yourself how far you've come.

That pesky comparisonitis should start to fade.

This was the first face-to-face session I'd delivered since BEFORE lockdown!

It was great fun, both to meet new people, talk about Facebook Ads and to get out the house for a few hours! 🤪

We covered the prep and thinking you should do before embarking on Facebook Ads, especially in these days of data-protection and small budgets.
