Custom made super heavy workshop table that will accommodate a lathe. Dimensions were to spec for height of the operator and will go into service soon.

This is how all my designs start.. on a plain piece of paper, no fancy design led team, just some creativity done the old school way.

Today I needed to make a table for my mitre saw and I must say I’m over the moon with the outcome. No more propping bits of wood up on chairs.. quite dangerous really.

I’m in the process of sorting my workshop area out and the wood I used for this was offcuts. I could have just bought a table but this was I get a bespoke piece to fit my needs, also re using old wood helps with the environment, I’ve not bought one shipped from afar land and stopped this wood going to landfill. It’s the little things as small businesses we can all do that will benefit us all in the long run.

I’ve still got to cap the screw holes off with some plugs and I’ll make my own!

Everything starts out with a sketch.. you may not understand my mess of a sketch but I fully understand it.
I’m building a simple yet super strong stand alone table for my mitre saw so I need pin point accuracy.

You may see I’m using 18mm ply for the top but marked it down at 17mm on the sketch.. this is because it’s actually 17mm when measured so top tip… when buying ply check the thickness as it’s never normally what they say!

This was a really quick flip to get it saleworthy.. a refinish to the top, fresh bit of trim.. a good clean and some new drawer stops.

It’s now had a much needed uplift in looks and super useful!

A smart little chest indeed ❤️

Really smart & no doubt super sought after late 19c French pine linen cupboard in great condition, structurally solid and of big proportions a total must have for any quality interior. Very versatile, I’d personally use this in a kitchen environment as a smart pantry cupboard. Some wear to be expected and later hardware added but it’s definitely been looked after and in great shape.
