Just_alittlemagic Handmade fairy doors, toadstools, and more! During the lockdown, I started collecting sticks on our family walks and making fairy doors.

The hobby grew and eventually we had a fairy village in our neighbourhood. It was so exciting to secretly place a new resident fairy in another tree and watch the local families discover them during their 1-hour walks. It brought so much joy to everyone! A few weeks later I bought a packet of modeling clay and my first ever quirky toadstool was born! People kept asking me how they could get hold o

f these items, so I started my small business! Every item is unique, I never know what I am making. I just play my fairy garden music and enjoy being creative!

Gormlek the Grumpy Troll

Deep in the heart of the forest, hidden beneath twisting roots and tangled vines, lies a moss-covered door that most creatures are too afraid to approach. This is the home of Gormlek, the grumpy old troll. With a face like a stormy sky and a growl that could shake the leaves from trees, he’s not the friendliest sight in the woods. If a passing squirrel dares to knock on his door, it’s likely to be met with a gruff, "Go away! I’m busy!"

But what the creatures of the forest don’t know is that behind Gormlek’s scowl lies a heart softer than the moss on his doorstep. He spends his days collecting roots, mushrooms, and glimmering dew drops, muttering to himself as he grinds them into strange pastes and bubbling brews.

Gormlek is no ordinary troll—he is a healer. His grumpiness is only a disguise, meant to keep nosy creatures from bothering him while he works. When a young fawn stumbles into the clearing, weak from illness, Gormlek will huff and grumble about "all these bothersome beasts," but by nightfall, he’ll have slipped out under the stars to gently smear a cooling salve onto its fevered forehead.

Only the wisest creatures know the truth: if you are truly in need, Gormlek will always help—just don’t expect him to smile while he’s doing it!

Meet Elowen
Elowen is a traveling fae from the ancient forests of England, where she has spent centuries tending to hidden groves and whispering secrets to the trees. She was chosen by the Elders of the Fae Council to embark on a special journey across the sea to Carmel, Indiana, where she will oversee the planting of new fairy doors and watch over the kindness of the children who find them.
Elowen is carrying a suitcase full of enchanted treasures:
Miniature books filled with the wisdom of the old forests
Glowing vials of stardust that encourage dreams of wonder
A tiny map that reveals hidden fairy doors only to those with kind hearts
A delicate wand made from the branch of an ancient yew tree, used to spark small bits of magic when needed
What She Hopes For
Elowen's greatest wish is to see children and their families:
🌿 Be kind to nature – She loves when little hands plant flowers, pick up litter, or leave out tiny gifts for wildlife.
💖 Believe in magic – She thrives on wonder and hopes the children of Carmel will let their imaginations soar.
🧚 Treat fairy doors with care – She whispers to those who find them, asking them to leave the doors untouched so the fae can continue their secret work.
She knows the world is full of light and shadows, and she hopes to encourage more of the former. If children leave notes at her fairy doors, she just might leave a tiny reply in return!)
