1. Conducting Market research 📈
Consumer psychologists spend a lot of time figuring out what makes buyers tick so that businesses can develop products and marketing campaigns that appeal to their target audience. Market research is ESSENTIAL for this! - figure out your target audience for a particular product, including the gender, age, and socioeconomic status of the typical shopper to tailor your marketing strategies to them. 🤳
2. Developing Marketing Messages 📢
Consumer psychologists also look at how messages and ideas spread among a group. By understanding how beliefs and attitudes and are shared among your target audience, you can better understand how to spread your brand's message and ideas, as well as encouraging word-of-mouth marketing! 🗣
3. Researching Consumer Attitudes and Behaviours 🧐
You can also conduct research to specifically understand buyer behaviour. For example,
experiments, phone surveys, focus groups, direct observations, and questionnaires are some ways you can research into buyer behaviour. Researchers also typically gather details about each respondent's s*x, age, race, educational history, and current financial situation which allows researchers to look for patterns and learn more about who buys certain products! 😏
