Did you know -it’s not just equestrian businesses that I work with? 💅

Ellie needed some help to refresh and relaunch her social media presence and I was more than happy to offer some help and advice to get her going again!

If you’re in the 📍 Ashburton, Devon area, check out her page.👇

Hi, I’m Ellie! 👋

Amanda tells me I’m really good at what I do… but that I’m rubbish at keeping up with social media! 🙈 So here I am, finally reintroducing myself and giving this page the attention it deserves. 💁‍♀️

For anyone who doesn't already know me – I’m a fully qualified and insured nail technician based at Amanda Trivett Nail Artist on 📍 North Street in Ashburton, where I’ve been for almost two years now.

I offer a full range of nail services from gel manicures and pedicures to full sculpted acrylic enhancements, including custom design work. Because of my age, people often think I'm the salon trainee or that I'm new at this ☺️ but I actually 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗴𝗼 as a nail tech and beauty therapist, and added acrylics to my services a year ago! In addition to nails, I also offer professional beauty treatments at the salon including brow shaping, waxing and tinting, lash lifts and tints, and facial waxing.

I’m proud to be based at a Lecenté salon 💅 where only HEMA-free ✔️, cruelty-free 🐇 and vegan-friendly 🌱 nail products are used so you can feel confident that your treatments are not only beautiful, but safe and ethical too.

📲 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗺𝘆 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁, 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲:

And starting next week, I’ll be launching 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸-𝗜𝗻 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 🚶with walk-in appointments available every Wednesday from 10am–2pm. No booking needed, just pop in! (Please note: a 24-hour patch test is still required for any brow or wax tint treatments.)

Thanks so much for reading. 🙏 If you could give this post a like or share, and follow my page to help me spread the word, I’d be really grateful! 💕

I’m absolutely thrilled to see EquiEdge Marketing client Jackson Equine Independent Veterinary Practice selected as a finalist for Vet Practice of the Year in the 2025 Equestrian Business Awards! 🎉

This comes just six months after Adam Jackson was shortlisted for Horse & Hound’s Vet of the Year award. 🏆 It’s yet another incredible achievement for this independent practice, and one that speaks volumes about the quality of care they provide.

I’ve had the privilege of working with Jackson Equine from the very beginning of their journey – right from creating their logo and branding, to setting up their online presence and now exclusively managing their social media platforms. It’s been incredible to watch them grow from a brand new practice into a nationally recognised name, and I’m proud to support such a genuine, knowledgeable, and hard working team who continue to raise the bar for veterinary care.

I’m very selective about who I work with, which is why you'll rarely see me advertise. Integrity and authenticity matter hugely to me, and I only take on clients I can genuinely and wholeheartedly endorse. Jackson Equine is a perfect example of that, and I’m proud to stand behind them.

Sending them all the luck in the world for the awards ceremony in November! 💫

"Do you have a page?"
"Er… No?"

And so, here we are!

I’m Heather, the face behind 𝗛𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲𝗵𝗼𝗴 𝗛𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁! 👋 You might already know me from Optimum Equine, where I’ve spent years working with horses using an ethical, holistic approach to training and rehabilitation. 🐎 Alongside this, I’ve been transporting horses professionally for quite some time—and finally, I’ve got my act together and set up a dedicated page for this side of my business!

So, how can I help?

I’m an 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱, 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱, 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗣𝗛𝗔 and based in the South East of England. Whether you need a short trip to the vet, a stud run, or safe transport for a nervous or convalescing horse, I’m here to help.

My modern 3.5T lorry is high-spec and sturdy, built with your horse’s comfort in mind. It boasts a spacious design, a removable full-height stallion partition, and an exceptionally low-gradient ramp for ease of loading. It’s also incredibly manoeuvrable and small enough to navigate country lanes and tight yard spaces where larger transporter lorries might struggle!

But what really sets me apart isn’t just the lorry—it’s my experience. Years of working with horses of all temperaments means I have the patience, skill, and understanding to handle even the most nervous travellers or hesitant loaders. I know that every horse is different, and I take the time to make sure each journey is as calm, safe, and stress-free as possible.

Now, please don’t be put off by my brand-new social media presence—I promise I’m not new to the industry! I’m just terrible at keeping up with tech. 🤦‍♀️ But as my clients will hopefully agree, what I lack in social media skills, I more than make up for in hands-on experience, patience, and a real understanding of horse welfare.

So, welcome to my new account! Please show this post some love ❤️, give me a follow 👣, and if you ever need a reliable, knowledgeable transporter—don’t hesitate to get in touch!

Exciting News! 🎉 I’m delighted to share that EquiEdge Marketing is now working with ABRS+: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗥𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 to support their social media marketing! 🐴

The ABRS+ plays a vital role in the equestrian industry, providing essential support, accreditation, and guidance to riding schools, livery yards, and equestrian centres across the UK. 🇬🇧 Their work helps ensure high standards and a strong future for equestrian businesses, as well as for horse owners and riders at every level—so I’m really looking forward to working with them.

With existing EquiEdge Marketing clients Darlow Rosettes, who create their beautiful awards 🏵️, and Equestrian Systems - management & booking software, who provide specialist management and booking systems 🖥️ to their members, already collaborating with ABRS+, it feels like a natural fit to be supporting such a well-respected equestrian charity alongside these industry leaders. 🩷💙🤍

If you haven’t already, please take a moment to visit the ABRS+ page, give them a like 👍 and follow 👣 —they do fantastic work, and I can’t wait to help showcase it!

Have you tried another system and found it tricky? 😩

Not all booking systems are made equal – and if you’ve ever battled with software that felt like more hassle than help, you’re not alone. We hear it all the time: systems that are too complex, not designed specifically for equestrian businesses, or force you into a one-size-fits-all approach that just doesn’t work for you. 👎 That’s why we do things 𝙙𝙞𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙡𝙮.

Equestrian Systems management and booking software is:

🐴 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀
No unnecessary complexity, just everything you need to manage bookings, riders, horses, staff, and more.

👌 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝘀𝗲
Simple, easy to navigate, and built to fit into your way of working. No tech expertise required.

💙 𝗧𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂
We customise our system to suit your business, instead of making you fit into a rigid template.

👨‍💻 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱
Our friendly UK-based team is here to help whenever you need it – no frustrating call centres, just real people who understand your business.

Whether you’re switching from another system or making the move from paper records for the first time, we’ll make the process simple and stress-free.

𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 🌱 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗢𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗢𝘂𝘁 𝗙𝗼𝗿

The days are getting longer, rugs are coming off, and the fields are finally starting to dry out (hopefully!). But while spring brings plenty to look forward to, it also comes with its fair share of challenges for horse owners.

So, what should you be keeping an eye on at this time of year?

🌱 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘀 & 𝗟𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘀 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗸

After months of sparse grazing, horses can be very enthusiastic about the new flush of spring grass – but sudden dietary changes and rich pasture pose a risk of laminitis. This is especially important for good doers, native breeds, or those with metabolic conditions such as EMS or PPID.

What can you do?
✔️ Introduce spring grass gradually
✔️ Consider using a grazing muzzle or restricted turnout
✔️ Monitor for signs of laminitis: reluctance to move, shifting weight, or heat in the hooves
✔️ If your horse is at risk, discuss a management plan with your vet

🦟 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀 & 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀

Warmer weather means the return of flies, midges, and parasites such as pinworm and lice. Horses with sweet itch may start showing symptoms as midges become active, and cases of worm-related colic can spike when parasite burdens increase in spring.

How to stay ahead:
✔️ Start fly control early – rugs, sprays, and good stable management can help
✔️ Check your horse for signs of rubbing, hair loss, or skin irritation
✔️ Speak to your vet about a targeted worming programme based on faecal egg counts

🏇 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 & 𝗙𝗶𝘁𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀

If your horse has had a quieter winter, it’s tempting to get straight back into full work. But pushing too hard, too soon, can lead to injuries or setbacks.

Top tips for a successful return to work:
✔️ Build fitness gradually, especially for older horses
✔️ Include variety – hacking, polework, and hill work all help
✔️ Check tack fit – changes in weight or muscle tone will affect saddle fit

☀️ 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗻 & 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀

Spring sunshine can be deceptively strong, particularly for pink-skinned horses prone to sunburn. If your horse has a fluffy winter coat, they may also struggle to regulate their temperature as the weather fluctuates.

How to help:
✔️ Use fly rugs with UV protection for sensitive horses
✔️ Apply sun cream to pink noses and exposed skin
✔️ Consider an early spring clip if your horse is sweating excessively

🩺 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 – 𝗜𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆?

Spring is a great time to take stock of your horse’s health. Is their worming programme up to date? Are they due a dental check? Are their vaccinations still in date?

If you’d like advice on any of the above, or need to book a check-up, we’re always happy to help.
