Rocks Under Tide (Short Film) 🩸🎬

It was an absolute joy to filming this comedy horror short over the weekend with this lovely bunch. Can’t wait to share more from this short film! We had so much fun making it and i’m excited to see it come together in the edit.

my first full year as a camera trainee has been an incredible one :)

I have had the opportunity to work on various short films as well as working for 10 months as a camera trainee on Casualty, followed by a block as B Cam Assistant. Very excited for next year and the projects I will get to work on! 🤍🎬

Today was not only my last day at Doctors 😢but my last day as a BBC Production Apprentice! This apprenticeship has given me so many incredible opportunities and experiences including:

-shadowing over 10 departments in my workplace learning about the entire production process within continuing drama from pre-production to post production

-covering the production secretary, production coordinator and camera assistant

-becoming a project manager for the first ever internal BBC podcast ‘The Apprentice Community Podcast’ creating over 10 episodes including an episode with Tim Davie! I also got the opportunity to interview Fiona Campbell in the episode we created with her.

-having the opportunity to shadow at BBC Midlands Today learning about live broadcast & news

-shadowing at the BBC Three Edit Hub learning about how social content is made and editing three videos for BBC Socials

-learning valuable and vital skills within TV production as well as developing my skills outside of the workplace

I will be moving to Cardiff to start my new role as a Junior Camera Assistant on Casualty which I am really excited to begin. I am very grateful for opportunities/support the people at Doctors and this apprenticeship scheme has given me and I am excited to take my first step into the camera department! 🎉

a few pics from my first few months of being a bbc production apprentice on the continuing drama Doctors. i’ve had the opportunity to work on set shadowing the runners, art and location departments as well as attend several bbc events including the celebration of 100 years of the BBC :) (i wish i could show more but unfortunately i am not allowed but it has been amazing so far)
