The Romford Film Festival

The newly opened Lumiere hosts the festival this year (Mercury Shopping Centre, same location as the usual Romford Film Festival). A truly independent cinema that is more focused on community, world cinema, arthouse as well as mainstream. Very cool.

The short is playing before a feature called ‘The Broken Arrow’.

🎬 Here’s an exclusive scene, featuring actor David Streames as we get ready to share ‘A Smile For Her’ to the world!

The soundtrack for our new short film ‘A Smile For Her’ is currently being composed by the brilliant Andrew Hind. We’ve heard a work-in-progress sample of the music for the film today and it sounds stunning.

🎹 Andrew is a fantastic composer for film and TV. Not only was his music used in the trailer for the new Mike Leigh film ‘Hard Truths’, his library of music has been used for the BBC, Channel 5 and countless short films and video games.

It also helps that’s he’s an incredibly nice chap! We’re thrilled to be working with him.

Beautiful conditions yesterday as we wrapped filming for new short film ‘A Smile For Her’.

🎬 Ignoring the fact we were shooting on one of the coldest Januarys in years, on the ‘deadliest’ footpath in Britain, it was a great success and the perfect ending to a wonderful shoot.

🎥 A huge thanks to the amazing cast and crew who’ve worked hard to make this film. Post-production begins this week, and we’ll be reaching out to film festivals to screen it throughout 2025.
