Bringing down the curtain on the 2024/25 campaign with Huddersfield Town’s “Partners on the Pitch” event. An opportunity for the club to show its appreciation for its sponsors and principal partners.

It was a pleasure to host the occasion. A thoroughly enjoyable day was had by all who attended. A chance to play on the pitch at the The John Smith's Stadium and experience what it’s like to be in teams managed by former Huddersfield Town promotion winning manager, Peter Jackson and Fencil Modeste.

For the second straight year, Fencil’s XI came out on top with teenager, Callum Scott taking the Player of the Match award, scoring an impressive 4 goals!

Many thanks to Matt Goodwin and the team for their efforts in organising the day and to the Partners and Sponsors for their support throughout the season.

It's been a rollercoaster of a first season working with Huddersfield Town. From the tantalising promise of a promotion push at Christmas to the disappointment of the way the campaign fizzled out - and of course, saying goodbye to club stalwart Jonathan Hogg after appearing in the last of 410 games across 12 years for the club last weekend.

On a personal note joining a club mid-season doesn't come without it's own challenges but to return to the club where I took my first tentative steps into broadcasting over 30 years ago was an opportunity not to be missed. It's much changed now - as is football itself. From the way a club operates off the pitch to the game we see played on it. One thing remains the same though...it's a results driven business! That's the same for everyone involved.

The transformation of the Huddersfield Town off the pitch is impressive and it's been a pleasure to host the White Rose Club - once again a sold out lounge this past weekend. On the pitch, a privilege to step in as Stadium Announcer for several games, but now the focus is already on next season. The work to ensure this is a club ready for a Championship push is well underway. New players, a new manager and a new Sporting Director will arrive this summer and by the time the new campaign kicks off, supporters and sponsors will see a transformation in the lounges and facilities - an upgrade in the matchday experience.

The on-field action maybe taking a rest but the people working hard behind the scenes certainly are not! My thanks to Tracy Nelson and Sam Horsman, without whose tireless work, that experience would not be so seamless, nor would my role be so straight forward and particular thanks to Paul Reeves for inviting me back to Huddersfield initially.

For me, attention over the summer now largely moves away from "the beautiful game" as I work with clients outside of football but please do get in touch should you, or your organisation have interest in broadcasting/event hosting availability or enquiries. From Cricket to Crypto....

That was the headline for the latest Bradford City AFC Business Club meeting, I recently hosted with our guest - former Yorkshire County Cricket Club (Official) and England all-rounder Tim Bresnan

It's not necessarily a space you'd expect an international sportsman to occupy but for over an hour, Tim spoke to a room full of business leaders and owners about the evolving world of finance and discussed the concept behind his own business, Boulder Capital. He explained the difference between Crypto and Bitcoin and attempted to debunk some of the myths around crypto currency. He took questions from the floor and entertained the audience with tales of a cricketing career which included a World T20 success with England, an Ashes victory in Australia and domestically, 3 County Championship titles.

We also heard from the Commercial Director at London North Eastern Railway, David Flesher on the work they're doing to help open up Bradford to business and commerce throughout the country and there was the opportunity for over 100 Business Club member present, to network with colleagues and explore potential partnerships and opportunities where they're businesses intersect.

Thanks as always to Cedar Court Hotel Bradford for hosting the event. It was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and I look forward to hosting the next meeting on July 25th

Delighted to make a rare trip to the Midlands and fill the presenter’s chair on “Blues +” for Thursday’s EFL League 1 game between Stevenage and Birmingham City FC

It’s always helps to work with familiar faces. Former striker, Tommy Mooney joined me in the studio alongside winger Scott Wright, who gave us an update on his recovery from a knee injury and provided terrific insight and analysis throughout.

Behind the scenes, Martyn Bonner and the team ensured everything ran smoothly (even when the presenter made a late audible to the running order!)

45 minutes of live build up, half-time and full-time analysis wrapped around live coverage of the game with our commentary team of Matt Delaney and Dale Moon.

Most importantly the team on the pitch delivered a 1-0 win, topped 100 points for the season in League 1 and have Reading’s total points record in their sights with 3 games left to play!

The NFL is a sport with a truly global following! A busy day is underway with an early live NFLDraft preview for Al Jazeera in Doha.

The question is, will the Tennessee Titans take QB Cam Ward with the 1st pick and where will “2-way star” Travis Hunter land?
We’ll find out tonight…
