📣 2023: A year in marketing 📣
As the year comes to a close, we've been reflecting on the past twelve months and the major changes within the marketing industry:
📣 Barbie-Heimer: Starting off as a simple meme, the battle between two major yet very different blockbusters Barbie and Oppenheimer quickly escalated to a full on user generated campaign.
📣 Threads: Back in July Meta released their new social network platform 'Threads', a text based conversation app set to rival Twitter (or is it X..). The app received five million sign-ups in its first four hours.
📣 AI: The growth of Artificial Intelligence being used within marketing throughout 2023 has been incredible, from Chat GPT lending a helping hand when it comes to copy and content ideas, to Coca Cola leveraging generative AI to create adverts and an unforgettable user experience, the limit of how AI can support marketing really doesn't exist.
📣 Twitter's Rebrand: In one of this year's bigger shocks in marketing, back in July Elon Musk announced that Twitter would rebrand to 'X', ditching the iconic blue bird with almost immediate effect. While the rebrand was controversial to say the least, it can be argued that there's no such thing as bad press..right?
We wonder what 2024 has in store for us all 🤔
