nation-wide services and resources that we hope will be of use to our readers, some of which will have been featured in our articles. The time has come to create our own little world of ...🪻🌸

During Spring 2026 we will be planting a small field of at our in . It might sound a little crazy with the temperamental weather here in the north east of . However, we did a little trial of a small selection of last year and thankfully most of them survived. 😃🙏

Who knows if it will work but we are putting our and into this little of ours. There is of course lots of hard work going on at the moment, mostly groundworks and lots and lots of topsoil and way too much raking..🤦😆but it's all part of this ..remind me of this when we are up to our knees in all the sand that's coming soon too.

So, earlier this year I thought why not
a few in our and in the , they worked a treat in the but not in the ground ..so ...🌼🌸I reckon it's the darn cley soil that's the issue..it will be..having a conversation with myself now, like I don't do that all the time....😆🌼

Hello there, for being here. These days the algorithms are forever changing so I never know who will actually read my posts, which is a bit frustrating, but there is not a huge amount we can do, well there is but then it will change again. 💁🙏

Anyway, you may or may not know but we have stopped running the Root and Branch , atleast for now, mainly for rest and recuperation purposes but also to concentrate on our new project . The plan is to build in our field to house a selection of (we have clay soil which is not suitable for planting in so we have to make beds and buy in the right mix of soils, it's going to be hard work but rewarding 😅). In the future we would like to bring in other plants and shrubs to create a which we hope to share with anyone looking for a selection of . This will of course all take time but if you would like to follow our on 'getting there' please to pop over to our page, we'd you to . 🌱😃💜

My journey with illness🪻🪻

There comes a time when is required for all of us. This photo was taken last year of me laying on the bed at the hotel my hub and I were staying at. I think I look totally , but the reality is, I wasn't.

I spent a lot of the time feeling completely rubbish, tired, zoned out, aching, tummy pain and many other symptoms .

It got me thinking why is it that when I stop, I feel so bad. That's my 'lets pretend' inner voice chatter. I tell myself, it must be some sort of bug, or, I'm just tired. The truth is I convinced myself it was something else other than what I actually have diagnosed. 🤦

Years ago I was diagnosed with and an and before that, in my 20's, I spent three weeks in hospital with , ugh that was a difficult time, there was talk of having a calostomy bag fitted which filled me with dread. I was adamant when the lovely nurse showed me how it all worked I said 'I 'm just not having one of those'. Little 7 stone me who could hardly walk and was very still had determination not to be dragged down by illness..it must be the Irish in me..it certainly was when I hid in the bathroom every time the nurse came to take bloods each morning. 🤣. Fortunately I've not had another bout of UC but it lays dormant and never goes away. However, it does cause other symptoms without flare ups, which unfortunately I struggle with.

Anyway, my point is, look after yourself lovely ones, it's not always easy to accept but with and a little on yourself, coupled with the right , the road ahead becomes much easier. It's a I am slowly coming to terms with too.

I am...in my happy place. 😄🪻🪻🪻

I bought my first lavenders of the year, just for potting, but I'm hugely excited to be on a mission to buy many more to plant in our field.

My work is to promote who are offering their services to support your . It's such a lovely job and I feel truly privileged to be working alongside many lovely businesses here in the and further afield throughout and the 🇬🇧
