Our next release is A Story by The Genesis, a rock opera that was recorded in Luton in 1969 and unreleased until now. It seems entirely appropriate that our local paper Bishop's Stortford Independent have got in there early with this, local papers and indeed local scenes are so important and we overlook them at our peril. We’ve made an effort to make the physical versions of the release really pleasing, and one of the things we were able to play with was a plethora of brilliant cuttings from a local Luton paper from the time. They show what a vibrant scene there was in Luton in the 60s for music. Without this resource all these little pieces of cultural history would have been lost for good.
