I must admit to having a couple of real business regrets, a kick yourself moment if you like.

The first is not taking up the offer of Racal shares at 10p back in 1972 , that became RacalVodata then Vodaphone. If I had invested just £100 then I would be on a Yacht somewhere.

The second is turning down the opportunity to invest just £200 in a production my then girlfriend Geraldine Gardner was to appear in. She produced the 'book' and said her role was " a sort of human cat" but it might not open as the producers were short of top slice money to complete pre-production. Most of the cast gave it a run of six months at most. I thought it would be worth a punt of £500 and all set to invest... I didn't. Heaven knows why...
Of course that was 'Cats' the worldwide smash hit from Cameron McIntosh !!! That's another Yacht I'll never see....
