We’ve been watching and preparing and rehearsing for tonight’s Ealing Together concert at the through .london’s beautiful videos (see our reels)… and now the big day is here! 🎶✨

We spoke to film composer and Ealing local about her brand new piece Ada in Ealing, which will receive its world premiere tonight with a mass choir of 1,200 schoolchildren, 300 young musicians and a full symphony orchestra. The libretto is by the brilliant - who’ll also be performing!

Laura told us:
“Michael Rosen’s text is brilliant as it weaves Ada Lovelace’s story into the borough’s rich cultural tapestry... It’s a kind of music-theatre piece with narration between varied connecting songs about key places and people from Ealing.”

And if you’re going to tonight’s concert, have an amazing time! You can also read all about Ealing Together in the Spring issue of the magazine, available in the archives of our Issuu account 💫

Is there anything more fun than nosing around someone else’s house? I don't think so.

In our latest Ealing’s Most Exclusive feature, we give you the chance to snoop around a stunning home tucked away in the heart of Ealing Common. This one’s full of stories - and surprises.

The owners, who moved to Ealing from Chiswick 30 years ago, have seen the area evolve from “grocers and junk shops” to a vibrant, green borough filled with festivals, parks and community spirit.

This final move to Ealing Common has been their most ambitious yet - complete with a lush, sprawling garden they redesigned themselves (they took out 15 trees and planted 20 new ones), and a south-facing kitchen diner that opens up to birdsong, ancient trees and golden evening light.

🔗 Scan the QR code in the magazine to take a full tour - and get ready for major house envy.

🎉 Huge congratulations to in Northfields, crowned winner of the Community Local category in the prestigious 2025 Pub Design Awards!

This national accolade celebrates pubs that are not just beautiful, but deeply rooted in their communities - and The Forester ticks every box. Judges were blown away by the sensitive restoration of this Edwardian gem, managed by Fullers, which preserves stunning original features like the Nowell Parr-designed fireplace and exquisite Art Nouveau stained glass windows.

Nestled on a Leighton Road corner, The Forester is a perfect example of how historic pubs can remain relevant - and buzzing - today. Vintage furniture and curated decor nod to its past, while the pub continues to serve excellent Thai food, epic Sunday roasts and a top selection of beers, making it a true hub for locals.

CAMRA and Historic England praised its craftsmanship, atmosphere, and role as a vital part of local life. As Andrew Davison, chair of the judging panel, said: “The Pub Design Awards recognise the highest standards of pub architecture, rewarding artistic flair and painstaking historical conservation.”

Whether you're there for the real ale, the friendly vibes or the cosy wood-panelled rooms - The Forester is officially one of the UK’s most charming pubs. A well-deserved win!

🌈 “It all started by accident…” 🌈

founder Aubrey Crawley never planned to start a movement - but one social night in Chiswick turned into something so much bigger.

Three years later, WLQP is a lifeline for West London’s LGBTQ+ community, offering everything from touch rugby and book clubs to mental health workshops and council advocacy.

“The biggest driver for me is seeing how much happiness we are bringing to our community,” says Aubrey. “The hate we receive often comes from fear or misinformation - so we need to keep working towards reconciling people with truth, facts and kindness.”

This Saturday 14th June, come along to the Pride Month Picnic at - a joyful, family-friendly celebration of identity, inclusion and connection 🏳️‍🌈

“There are no permanent LGBTQ+ spaces in West London, which makes our work even more important.”
