🍂 Autumn is my favourite season. Sure, I love a sunny afternoon in the park (read: pub garden), but honestly - I think we Brits are at our best when we’ve got a bit of drizzle to contend with.
So, what does autumn mean to you? Here are my top five things I look forward to when the nights start to creep in:
✨ Neighbourhood walks
We’re spoilt with gorgeous spots - parks, canals, fields, golf courses and trails. Autumn colours make them even more magical. Do you remember this beautiful photo of Ealing Green from last year's Autumn issue by the talented ?
🥣 Soup season
I love soup. (Expect a whole post soon dedicated to this passion!) It’s wholesome, kid-friendly, and the ultimate comfort food. Last week’s highlights? Wonton soup and minestrone = pure soul food.
🥄 Granola Girl Autumn
Forget Hot Girl Summer - I’m all about Granola Girl Autumn. Not the healthy kind, mind you. I’m talking maple syrup, honey and crunchy clusters. Sweet, cosy weekend breakfast perfection. This was a recipe - see the website for more details.
🧶 Knitwear dreams
I love a big cosy jumper. Highly recommend a visit to Jolanta at - her custom knitwear is stunning. Check out the above pic and this issue’s Editor’s Picks for examples of her beautiful knits.
📖 Cosy nights in
Preferably with a good book - or the new Autumn issue of the magazine, out in print 17th September. Keep an eye out for the list of wonderful distributors!
