Studies have shown that dogs can read human emotions better than almost any other animal. Research found that dogs can recognise emotional expressions in human faces, and their brain activity changes when they hear their owner’s voice expressing different emotions. Another study found that when a dog and their owner gaze into each other’s eyes, both experience a rise in oxytocin—the same hormone that strengthens bonds between humans ✨
