Waterproof Media operate as a specialist underwater company involved in underwater filming, marine co-ordination and boat supply. Known previously as Diving and Marine Solutions, we have recently changed the company name to reflect our focus on the TV and Film industries that require support on or under the water

Our R5C on the bench today being prepped for a commercial stills shoot out in Spain next week

The R5C integrates seamlessly with fibre tether cables to surface for integration and control through software, we also have hard wired cables from the housing to link into surface strobes that fire when the housing shutter is released

This weeks prep is 2 .underwater remote cinema housings with Venice 2 cameras for a 2 shoot week on TV drama ‘Larkin’ and Mission Impossible 8, busy week ahead for the gear!

Our housings are set up with hard wired independent iris control for DOP and separate focus control for 1st UW AC - camera control is through hard wired Ethernet to Semote controller on the surface. This means the housings only need to come out the of the water for reloading media, even power is sent down from the surface

Our .underwater cinema dive housings have now been upgraded with this external light that shows the housing is fully functional and operational

The housings are always super reliable however the light system gives piece of mind, and can easily be seen from all directions or from the surface if the housing is on a crane

Our cinema housings work with Alexa Mini / LF / Alexa 35, Sony Venice 1 and 2, Phantom Veo and 4k Flex plus any Red DSMC including the XL series

Completely impressed with the R5C in the dive housing for this remarkable camera

As owner - operators of all our kit we always dive and test equipment for functionality, balance, image quality and general ‘in the field’ capabilities.

This mirrorless camera has the same EOS operating system as found in the C range of Canon cameras which translates to a superior experience for any underwater operator looking to have all the information and tools at their finger tip
