Digitex re-launch Last Lap with Amazon Prime Video
Digitex TV are today (8 December) delighted to announce the return of our Last Lap series which features a cross section of the very best formulae at National level in British motorsport for 2020. Programmes will be produced for a potential global audience on Amazon Prime Video.
The series first aired at the end of the 2011 season and we have been delighted to have developed many of the championships we have covered from one-off programmes to full stand alone series. It is anticipated that the new run will introduce new categories to the series.
Series co-producer Barry Welch says: " We've been on Prime for over a year now and were the first production house to make the move within motorsport. Whilst looking forward to making new friends with the upcoming series, we also wanted to say an early Happy Christmas and thank you to our existing customers and we are in the process of adding the previous seasons of Last Lap to our Amazon Prime roster."
Fellow series producer and race commentator Richard John Neil added: "The original idea for Last Lap was to provide the broadcaster we were with at the time with some new content for their closed-season schedules. With a plethora of current season reviews coming up it will be nice for drivers, sponsors and fans to revisit their exploits from the recent past and, as it's on Prime, see it in HD for the first time!"
"We made the move to Prime Video as they have extremely high standards for production and compliance - the recent addition of Premiership football and major tennis tournaments underlines this.. It also offers a truly global window to our customers, their branding partners and of course our audience."
The first of our back-catalogue seasons from Last Lap to go online will be the 2017, 2016 and 2015 series which includes National Legends Cars, MG Trophy, BARC Modified Saloons, Cannons Tin Tops and Intermarques. British Superkarts, Alfa Romeo, MG Trophy, Equipe GTS, MASCAR, Grand Prix Midgets, Honda V Tech National Autograss, Pickup Trucks etc..... More content will be added over the coming week and in total there will be over 100 programmes of action packed viewing to watch.
