Betrayal And Intrigue. What Fun!', 'English Rivers', 'Creating Shame In 2025', 'Pitch'.

This weeks Battenberg - The Brothers and Sisters of show from 11am is co-baked by Jane Gamble and Richard Sara.

Its an intriguing mix: a bunch of famous celebrities, divided into Traitor and Faithful camps, chasing a sizeable pot for their chosen charities? But what makes this game such a thundering success? We obviously find the deceit and subterfuge beguiling, but why? Jane takes to the Turret, in her best fingerless gloves to learn more.

Richard does love being beside a river, especially during the period of Autumnal reflections. From the Aire to the Yare, which is your favourite? 29 rivers with 1500 tributaries? The English river system is wonderful.

Remember the day when gossips gathered to point out a slovenly neighbours neglected front doorstep, or the greyness of her nets? Well it appears we have a modern version of shaming. Jane listens, and will pass it on. You won't say anything, will you?

Janet Kay has perfect pitch? Otley RUFC has a pitch which saps legs. High pitched, drinks which come in pitchers, camping pitches and pitching in an elevator. This weeks show is sealed with pitch.

Introductory square music -

Adele - Rolling In The Deep
James Bay - Hold Back The River
Fats Domino - Ain't That A Shame
Janet Kay - Silly Games

'What Women Want', 'Current Political Leaders', 'Restaurants Under Pressure', 'Crop Circles'.

This weeks Battenberg - The Brothers and Sisters of from 11am is co-presented by Jane Gamble and Richard Sara.

Men have made every effort to be, well, New Men! They have learned to be; sensitive, thoughtful chaps from Mars. But wait! It appears thats not what your 2025 girl from Venus wants at all. Jane wades bravely into this modern maze.

The state of the parties and their leaders in Parliament is laid out by Richard, who discovers that the media seem to be giving disproportionate noise and coverage to very small parties. Sinn Fein doesnt sit in Parliament but have more MPs than both the Greens and Reform. Your Party have more MPs than all 3 combined!

Business is tough, and restaurants will go to any lengths to give us something...a bit different...from your regular pizza. However, Jane asks, should we be prepared to swallow, maybe, house-aged misos, or inter-course burgers, whatever they might be? Is there a limit to what our tired tastebuds can cope with?

Richard has been out with planks strapped to his feet making Crop Circles? Landscape art from Andy Goldsworthy to sculpture trails has been a part of our countryside since the Neolithic chalk drawings on our hills.

Introductory square music -

Bonnie Tyler - Holding Out For A Hero
The The - Heartland
Queen & David Bowie - Under Pressure
Ocean Colour Scene - The Circle
