I set up my first magazine in 2006 as I knew there was a need for a good publication which would give residents a real idea of what was happening locally, as well as giving small local businesses a platform to highlight their business to targetted customers. More than a decade later, the magazines are still thriving and are available in print and online.

And, excitingly, a new group, has set up a in local East Sheen shops later in March. Look out for your copy soon and online from later today (link in bio).

What I love about this image is that the window is a perfect picture frame from inside or out. Whilst most extension windows tend to be smaller, or go right across a back wall, I love that this design is a statement in itself. Look from either side and all you see is beauty. I love the drop lampshades over the dining table, the two level view to the front of the house and light well in the ceiling. All designed by the local team at . Oh, and if you're wondering, those beautiful pink flowers below the window are Lychnis. They are prolific in our garden, too, and come back year after year. You can see more of 's designs at www.architect-yourhome.com.

The first gardens highlighted in our May/June issue open this Sunday, 19th May! There's the 18 beautiful gardens which make up the Richmond Hill Open Gardens. All are within walking distance of each other and there's also a plant sale at Gloucester House. If you get a little parched and in need of a rest, there's tea and cake at St Mathias Church on the top of the hill.

And, on Kew Green, three fabulous gardens backing on to the Thames are open as a small group. Lush lawns, winding paths, and climbing roses... just totally English!

Find out more in the online edition - link in bio.

I'll be highlighting other gardens soon! If you go on Sunday, which one was your favourite?
