FLOUR MASSACRE

Dear David Morris

We need to be blunt about this. Over 800 starving Palestinian people were killed or injured yesterday, either directly by the IDF or as a result of the IDF firing on them as they clamoured for food to keep them alive.

The reason for the desperation of these people is that Israel has been deliberately preventing food aid (and other aid) to enter Gaza causing the crisis that its bullets and artillery has only made much worse.

This government must not only express condemnation for this atrocity but also revoke all export licences allowing arms to be sold to Israel, remove all UK personnel from assisting Israel in its war crimes and remove Israeli diplomats from the UK if Israel doubles down on this inexcusable behaviour.

WE INSIST THAT YOU PASS ON THESE CONCERNS TO THE PRIME MINISTER AND FOREIGN SECRETARY

This email will be shared as widely as possible as well as any response (or lack of) in due course. This cannot continue.

STOP ISRAEL'S GROUND INVASION
SILENCE IS COMPLICITY

Dear David Morris

Israel is preparing a ground operation in Rafah with calls from around the world warning against a massacre of enormous proportions.

Calls for Israel to stand down are entirely inadequate. Israel will not listen.

A disaster of unimaginable proportions will only be averted if Israel is cut off from arms supplies, military assistance and diplomatic relations.

It is the responsibility of the UK government to shut down all diplomatic relations and military assistance both on behalf of the government and UK companies. It must follow the example of the Netherlands.

If this ground attack is allowed to take place, the responsibility for the death and injury of thousands more innocent and unarmed civilians will be on the heads of Joe Biden, Rishi Sunk and all others who have aided and abetted this genocide.

Silence and inaction are complicity.

I call on you to speak out and demand that the UK government does all in its power to prevent an imminent catastrophe.

DEFUNDING UNWRA

Dear David Morris

I need to raise my concern and disgust at the UK government's decision to withhold funding to UNWRA based on dubious claims by Israel. Regardless of these accusations having no evidence backing them up and that they only cite 4 UNWRA staff out of 40,000, the action of the UK amounts to complicity in Israel's genocide against the Palestinian people.

What many people won't appreciate is that your action not only exacerbates the dire situation in Gaza but also gives Israel free rein to abduct and torture UNWRA staff (for which we do have evidence). All you had to do was acknowledge the claim and say you would review the funding once the claims were substantiated.

Your silence, when it comes to the situation in Gaza and the West Bank, is deafening. The Genocide Convention insists that all governments have a responsibility to raise concerns when they see the possibility of a genocide being committed. With you being a representative of the UK government and a Conservative MP, I am left with no alternative than to consider you complicit in the genocide that Israel is committing now.

BEANS ON TOAST
=============

Dear David Morris

I need to express my disgust and disdain following the attacks on Yemen last night by US, British and allied forces.

This was initiated by the US without consulting Congress, was reckless, disproportionate and incendiary.

The reasons given by the UK minister of state are pathetic and bear no resemblance to the truth.

Britain has helped make the Red Sea and surrounding areas less stable and less attractive to shipping. We have brought together Yemeni factions who have been fighting each other for years. We have helped fan the flames of war and made everyone in Britain less safe, and for what?

Today, Israel is defending the claim brought by South Africa that it is committing genocide on the Palestinian people. This is what Britain is defending in attacking Yemen. We are defending genocide.

We are being called "wretched beans-on-toast-eating Brits". Britain is being held in contempt.

NB: this is a copy of an email actually sent to David Morris. I wonder if he'll get the joke?

Dear David Morris

I am pleased to announce that the sun rose again this morning in Morecambe. So I can confirm that, just as you consistently vote along party lines, the earth is still revolving about its axis. What's slightly unsettling (but pleases me at the same time) is that some of your colleagues voted against the Economic Activity of Public Bodies (Overseas Matters) Bill. It would appear that there are Conservatives with a mind of their own, contrary to popular opinion.

I expect you've heard the joke: What's the difference between a Tory voter and a supermarket trolley? A supermarket trolley has a mind of its own.

Dear David Morris

I feel the need to remind you that South Africa would still be an apartheid country if it were not for boycott, divestment and sanctions. We are fully aware that the prime purpose of the Economic Activity of Public Bodies (Overseas Matters) Bill ,otherwise known as the anti-BDS bill, is to stifle opposition to Israeli apartheid however much your ministers might protest otherwise.

This is yet another anti-democratic, authoritarian law designed to curtail free speech and allow the government to ride roughshod over the will of the people, to protect the interests of the rich and powerful over those of the electorate at large.

While I fully expect you to vote with the government, I urge you not to. If you have a moral compass it would surely point you in the opposite direction of the government and allow us to deter the public bodies that represent us, from having blood on their hands.

I would also like to raise the issue of the Israeli ambassador, Tzipi Hotovely, being allowed to promote genocide from within these shores even while David Cameron cautions her on her rhetoric. This has nothing to do with free speech. As a guest of this country she talks of the destruction of Gaza being a solution, the obvious parallel being the Nazi's infamous final solution.

This is intolerable and its well within the government's remit to expel her.

Dear David Morris

The following statement was posted on the UK government website today.

Quote:
The Foreign Secretary and Secretary of State discussed the international community’s shared condemnation of the illegal and unjustified attacks on commercial shipping in the Red Sea by Houthi militants. They made clear that the UK and US will work with our partners to hold the Houthis accountable for these unlawful seizures and attacks.

By "the international community" I have to presume this refers to US allies because much of the world supports Yemen in its obstruction of trade to Israel via the Red Sea. AnsarAllah is only targeting ships bound for Eilat and not international shipping at large.

To accuse Yemen of unlawful seizures and attacks is rich considering Israel breaks dozens of international laws on a daily basis with impunity. If the UK works with the USA to attack Yemen it will lay itself open to accusations of bullying towards one of the poorest countries in the world whose cousins are being slaughtered by a UK supported state.

In addition it will further implicate the UK in the support of a genocide.

I urge you to consider the implication, not only for the UK government but also yourself as a representative of the government. Are you in support of a genocide or will you represent your constituents in calling for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire as well as demanding that Israel allows adequate and sufficient aid to Gaza rather than giving lip service to the current, utterly inadequate, filtered aid that ensures Gazans are deprived of life sustaining supplies?

I would remind you that many of your constituents have an excellent grasp of the reality of life in the occupied territories and can't be fobbed off with government and mainstream media spin.

An open letter to David Morris.

Dear David

With all due respect the analysis supplied to the Prime Minister is deeply flawed and almost certainly wrong. In truth, even if it was a misfired rocket that hit the hospital grounds it takes nothing away from the fact that Israel has repeatedly shelled hospitals, medics and civilians in transit.

Over 5,000 civilians have now been killed in Gaza with many more injured or unaccounted for. Over 1.2 million Gazans are now homeless with winter setting in and diseases like cholera will almost certainly claim more lives as the dead decompose under the rubble. Without water or food others are going to starve and die.

This is all blamed on Hamas when, regardless of their actions, Israel is still committing war crimes and crimes against humanity while the West, including the UK, give them cover for their crimes and supply arms.

While I appreciate your response, it's entirely inadequate.
A ceasefire needs to be called immediately & the UK must demand that Israel restores the supply of water and electricity. Access must also be restored for food and other essentials.
This isn't a shopping list, it's the absolute minimum that needs to be done to avoid a genocide.

The UK has blood on its hands otherwise.
