42,000 years old with the potential to be cloned.

After 42,000 years, its lineage will return to Earth. Scientists in the Yakutia region of Siberia have found a perfectly preserved 42,000-year-old foal buried under permafrost. It was in such good condition that its blood was still liquid that scientists were able to extract it. According to the Gizmodo news site and researchers, the foal, which was found frozen and extremely well-preserved in a pit in the Batagaika region last year, was determined to be the extinct ‘Lena’ horse breed. The foal’s internal organs, as well as its dark brown hair, tail and mane, were also found preserved. I hope the world will soon meet the clone of the ancient extinct foal that lived 42,000 years ago.

It's 2023, animal welfare is supposed to be improving, yet one of our most famous equestrian magazines is suggesting this sort of antiquated control over a horse is acceptable. Please DO NOT accept these antiquated practices as normal. Times have changed - we should not be accepting that inflicting pain is normal.

Evaporating Sculpture
Originally when we first encountered this type of sculpture, we always preferred completed pieces -but tastes and ideas change, now we honestly prefer unfinished works.
The missing elements or the fading out - this only adds another dimension that captivates you even more.
This is one of the best we’ve ever seen, certainly of a horse, it’s beautifully done!
Looks like it’s entirely from steel!

Random drug testing

CHAPS (UK) Dope Test Results - CHAPS (UK) Midland Regional Show

CHAPS (UK) can confirm that 5 exhibits were selected at random for sampling in order undertake our joint anti-dope, testing procedure as laid out in the CHAPS (UK) Handbook.

1. KBF Lucia (L Cameron)- Negative

2. Lostock Uptown Funk (T Lewis)- Negative

3. Braveheart (S Shuttleworth)- Negative

4. Freckleton Real Class (D Radford) - Negative

5. Colour Coded (J Wormall) - Positive for Oxyphenylbutazone & Phenylbutazone

CHAPS (UK) have conducted a disciplinary hearing in relation to the positive test result, for the exhibit Colour Coded who was exhibited by Miss J Wormall, and as a result the first placing has been disqualified. Miss Wormall is also required to pay a fine of £1500.

Such interesting information about the colour related genes. I didn't know about the frame overo and lethal white possibility. (I'm not a breeder)
