If you are young and living near Maryport, we really want to hear what you have to say. What sort of activities and events would you like us to fund?

Those aged 10 - 16 are invited to an event with fun activities, free snacks and - most importantly - the chance to give their opinion.

The Lakes to Sea Community Panel is hosting the event at:
* Crosscanonby Community Centre
* from 10am until noon
* on Saturday, 8 March
*This event will particularly focus on what services are needed in the villages of Birkby, Crosby, Crosscanonby and Gilcrux.

Cumberland Council's eight Community Panels fund vital community projects, responding to the particular need in their areas. Find out more here https://www.cumberland.gov.uk/your-community/community-panels

Did you know that today is National Cheese Lovers Day?

So why not crack open the cheddar or roll out the red Leicester and create a cheesy treat!

It doesn't need to be fancy, cheese on toast or cauliflower cheese will do, but if you've got the time how about some warm cheese scones for supper 🧀🧀

Wow we've hardly taken the Christmas tree 🎄down and Hospice at Home West Cumbria are talking about Easter 🤣

Great cause and a great way for kids to burn off some excess energy while doing their bit for charity.

Here at Hospice at Home West Cumbria we are excited to be launching our first ever Bunny Hop for local schools and nurseries! 🐇 🌻

Pupils can hop, skip, jump, run, toddle around the playground while donning their bunny ears to raise awareness and funds for their local hospice charity.

So, what are you waiting for… let’s get hopping for Hospice at Home West Cumbria! Get in touch with our fundraising team on 01900 873173 or email: [email protected] to find out more and register your interest.

Does your child need a tutor?
• Has your child fallen behind?
• Are they intending on sitting a school entrance exam?
• Is homework an area of tension at home?
• Does your child lack confidence with their schoolwork?
• Was your child’s school report not as good as you were expecting?
• Is your child anxious about their upcoming SATs?
If you have answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, then a tutor might be the answer. Education is often demanding for children of any age. Whilst they may thrive in one subject, they may struggle in another. Tuition can help develop confidence and bridge the gap in learning.
