We had plenty of fun and chatted with some interesting people at the Regatta, including:

🎤Callum Sutton, who was performing live on the main stage.
🎤The Dover Town Carnival Queen and her court.
🎤Shane from the Dover Amateur Radio Club.
🎤David, one of the Port of Dover Chaplains.
🎤Paul from Stand and Deliver Entertainment.
🎤And some of the other DCR FM presenters - Ben Bridges, Lee Edgington and Martin Turner!

I'll be back to normal, broadcasting Live from the DCR radio studio in Dover, from 10am on Saturday.

Grant Harrold, former Royal Butler to King Charles III and etiquette expert, believes dining out remains one of the last great social rituals. To mark Dine Out Week (starts Monday 14 July), he’s offering us all a gentle (and very British) nudge back toward good old-fashioned table manners.

Grant will be talking on Andy Lloyd's Morning Show on Monday at 10:30 to give us some tips on how to impress in restaurants and offer some handy 'do and don't' pointers whilst at the dining table.

Our Story

Set up to support community projects in the local area, the Dover District Lotto operates on the principle of raising money within the community for the community. We empower local good causes to raise money in a fun and effective way. A ticket for the Dover District Lotto costs ÂŁ1 per week and 60p will go directly to good causes!

DCR aims to provide an opportunity for anyone interested in radio and the community as a whole, to become involved with the radio station to help enhance and inform Dover as a community. Many of our current presenters were introduced into broadcasting by DCR using our training studio, specialist knowledge and experience. Individuals from within the District interested in getting into broadcasting are welcome and encouraged to explore opportunities and ideas.

DCR needs and welcomes your financial support to assist with the acquiring of a temporary or permanent FM licience, the technical running of the station, outside events and other essential activities that go towards running and developing a successful radio station.
