The event is a partnership with the COP30 Committee (), the Bureau of Investigative Journalism () and the Latin America Bureau ().

KIKO DINUCCI returns to Europe for shows this week w/ Cologne-based saxophone player inc a special London show

They met during an artist residency Luise had in São Paulo where they recorded the album Enxame (engl. Swarm), an improvised 30-minute album that fuses the sounds of both cultures in an experimental and powerful way.

Sad news about the passing of . He was such an OG on the kora. I remember seeing him in a packed tent at WOMAD 15 or so years ago and just being transfixed by his playing. I started a few years later and the third album I released was him with the Brazilian duo and - it really blew my mind having him “on my label” after so few releases 😜 The record (‘A Curva Da Cintura’) was too unconventional for the kora purists but I liked that Toumani seemed open to collaborate with musicians from everywhere - embracing experimentation is so important. My favourite track on the album is this version of ‘Kaira’ - centred around Toumani’s kora, Arnaldo does his spoken-sing-song word thing perfectly as one of Toumani’s female backing singers occasionally drops in and just sends everything to the heavens. Which is no doubt where Toumani will be now. Cheers for the music sir
