The 50's and 60's Rock show is a live hour long show with Mike Gooch playing 60 minutes of Rock 'N' Roll from the era.

And tomorrow in a one off special at 1pm, Nigel Chorley delves into the (air)waves again for a Pirate Radio Special commemorating the Marine Broadcasting Offences Act bought into law at midnight on the 14th of August 1967 and how it changed Pirate Radio at the time.

Greetings!

We have some good news and some bad news today.

Let's get the bad news out of the way.

This week will be the final week for Sam And Rebecca Tompkins.
They are taking some time to prioritise on their main priorities, Sam as a pilot for HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Service) and Rebecca will be concentrating on her studies for university.

We fully support them in this and we hope you do to, and wish them all the best for the future.
We have indicated that if they wish in future, they would be very welcome to come back to UKSR.

Now for the good news.

On the back of the recent introduction of Kevin Lee's Weekend Wakeup, he will be hosting a new show, Cuddle on the Couch. A romantically themed show to snuggle up to your significant other and share a glass of wine. This will start airing on Friday evening at 8pm - 9pm.

And we have have a new presenter coming onboard. Starting Monday at 12pm, Gordon Cooper will bring a series of FIVE lunchtime shows.

Monday - Easy Rock
Tuesday - Gords Golden Album
Wednesday - 1 Hit Wonders
Thursday - Soft Rock
Friday - 1 Word Connection

Wimbledon is over, our tennis champs have been crowned and now we can resume our normal "service".

Lol, no, we never went anywhere.

Today, we have a special Kick up the 80s episode with Geoff Dorsett celebrating the 40th anniversary of Live Aid, held on 13th July 1985.

Colly D is still away so this evening, a "guest" presenter has stepped in to deliver her show for her.
