Let's face it, your scheduler can be full one minute and running on empty the next, whilst you're tied up with other business! 🥲 ....and everyone has been there! 🤦‍♀️

It might mean you need to make some decisions 🤔

🍀 Are you strategically planning your content?

🍀 Are you spending more time just posting as and when direct to your platform whenever you can squeeze it in?

🍀 Are you using Meta (FB & IG inhouse scheduler) where you can only schedule up to 29 days in advance, and do you need to plan further in advance?

🍀 Do you need to invest time and potentially money to learn a new scheduling tool?

🍀 Are you getting to the point where it would be prudent to outsource?

You don't need to be a large or digital based business to benefit from using social media. Research is showing that people are increasingly using social media as a search engine, and certainly not just to post their fav holiday pics!🤔

Consider the following 4 examples even if your business only serves a local community or you feel the service you provide is unlikely to be interesting enough or able to provide photographs for socials that people will be interested in⬇️

🎄 Providing your customers with details of when you are open and any changes coming up.
🎄Showing products or services that you currently offer as well as new ones, if you are expanding or offering something new.
🎄 Quick up to date information should you need to close for a referb, or in an emergency.
🎄 Potential customers can ask a question, which may give you ideas for new customers and new opportunities.

The chances are you already have plenty of customers that are already using social media. Why not start asking them what platform they use?

➡️ As much as your fulfilling your dream of running your own business, you're no doubt also trying to wear what feels like a 1000 hats to do it, 🤔🧢 but not having the luxury of 1000 hours to spare!🤨🤦‍♀️ Add Christmas into the mix 🎄 and no marketing department 📵😟 and no budget for one at the moment 🤑 I'm guessing your scheduler ... if you use one is empty!

Research is showing that people are increasingly using social media as a search engine.😳🤔
So treating your platform like a shop window, looking open, being accessible with clear signage and links to where they need to go for information is integral to a customers experience and them choosing you over your competitor.😀

If this sounds a lot on top of everything you already need to do for your business 😲 Don't worry! You don't necessarily need to post every day, just regularly. If you've not posted in 3 months, then yes, people may pass.🤔

Research and usually experience shows us that often some of our best ideas are generated when we are doing something else! 🏃‍♂️🌳🏄
In my experience it's often in the shower or somewhere else without immediate access to a phone or notepad! 🤔🥴

Wandering around in a social media hole strangled with overwhelm when there is so much else to do? 🌳🌲The good news is, you're not alone in this. After all, sometimes seeing the trees is easier when you have someone else to help guide you through the forest. 🙂
If you had a birds eye view, you could see where to go. 🐦 Having a Social Media Strategy gives you that higher perspective allowing and planning for changes, testing and events and combining with the overall goals and vision of the business.

Your customers may be diverse but they all have one thing in common - they need or love your product or service. 😀 So instead of casting the net wide, why not create content that more of the same customers are likely to respond to? 🤔💡

I literally popped out for 45 minutes this morning. Eager to get on I was so early and fast I managed to miss the traffic. I returned to a quiet house... too quiet!
Dogs giving a brief hello but swiftly returning to their beds. Mmn 🤔 After further investigation, yep, I found it! Along with an extremely loving cat winding his tail around my legs, seemingly saying It wasn't me! 🐱❤

Things don't always go to plan, there can always be unforeseen bumps in the road, you may be thinking about some or all of the following:-

🚥 My socials are not giving me the results I was hoping for.😕
🚥 Should I be posting on every platform? 😳
🚥 Has there been an algorithm update I'm unaware of? 🤔

So I fostered rabbits for a local animal charity. It was an experience full of valuable lessons. I quickly learned that these adorable fluff balls are a lot more complex and challenging to care for than people often think. Rabbits are social animals and thrive in company. 🐇🐇
However, you can't just throw two rabbits together and expect them to live happily ever after. It takes time and patience to successfully bond a pair, sometimes weeks or even months! But it's all worth it when you see them cuddling and playing together. 🩷

Take Binky (the grey and white one) and Baloo (the brown one). They were both rescued, but it wasn't love at first sight. Binky was outgoing and affectionate, 😁while Baloo was timid and traumatized.😨 It took some time living separately, but side by side. Binky's charisma and digging skills won Baloo over and they became friends. 🫂

After more garden dates I knew they were ready to live together - they spent three nights in my bathroom. Not exactly the most romantic place for a proposal 💍 There is a method in this - large enough to move around, small enough so they don't ignore each other. Close enough so I can hear if there's a problem, especially overnight. (fighting rabbits can cause major damage to each other) 24 hours in, they were inseparable and their bond only grew stronger. 🐇💖🐇

So the point is 🤔📖 Sometimes patience is needed. You don't always get the results you're hoping for immediately. It might be prudent to wait, watch and learn or take a break! 🍷⛳️🏖🧘‍♀️

After trying unsuccessfully to avoid the rain 🌧I’m cold and soaked ☹️ but my pooches bless ‘em, whom were very happy to trundle through muddy puddles 🐾seem surprised I’m not going to let them in through the front! 🤣🐶

So here's the story 📖 When I was 6 years old, I had the pleasure of visiting my grandmother's employer's residence. It was the best dress, best behavior scenario. It wasn't quite Downton Abbey, but it felt like it to me! Afternoon tea was in the exquisite drawing room, and it was going swimmingly 🏊‍♂️ I was nearly at the end of doing everything perfectly when disaster struck. 🌧️

Whilst trying to help clear the table, I ended up dropping and shattering a delicate china cup. Cue the awkward silence and my trembling bottom lip. 😱
To my surprise, however, the lady of the house was nothing but charming and assured me that I had actually done her a favour, she had wanted to get rid of the ghastly cups for years, but they had been a gift from a grumpy aunt who would notice. 🙂
My young heart was so relieved! After that, I was happily sent off to the Children's library where I spent the next few hours indulging in my love for books, totally unaware at how special that day was for a multitude of reasons, whilst my poor grandmother worked!
