I am so pleased to see that this memorial honouring journalists killed in the line of duty is finally happening. We must not forget the sacrifices they make to bring us the truth of what is happening around the world.
The pen IS mightier than the sword, good and brave journalism matters more than ever before and should never be regarded as a crime.

Massive thanks to all the fantastic Dialogue Society team for a wonderful iftar last night. It was so good to meet old and new friends and colleagues from all walks of life and faiths - all with the shared intent of . In addition to an excellent meal and some inspiring guest speakers (including the President of the Board of Deputies of British Jews), we were treated to lovely music performances from violinist, Risa Michelle Sekine, and a vocal ensemble of UCL Music Society students. Not that I'm competitive or anything, but for several rounds I was in the lead of the Kahoot Quiz! I also tried my hand at traditional Turkish ebru art - paper marbling - which I thoroughly recommend trying - with thanks to artist, Guzin Asimoglu.
If only our society could be this friendly towards each other all the time - and I encourage you to look at the Dialogue Society to see all the amazing projects they have around the country to bring us all together. 🙏🏽
