Letting go isn’t something you do once and you’re done.
It’s layered. Ongoing. Sometimes reluctant. Sometimes radical.
Sometimes, it’s simply telling yourself the truth.

My new book Let Go is the most personal thing I’ve ever written, sharing what I’ve learned during a decade that’s put me through my paces.

Pre-orders are open for a limited time, and I’d love your support.

Hello! I’ve been quiet this year. After having a hysterectomy in January, I was diagnosed with cancer a few weeks later. I’d already agreed to write a book, Let Go, about navigating a decade of challenges that pushed a lot of buttons around abandonment, grief, and ‘not enoughness’—and the diagnosis put everything I’ve learned to the test.

So book #6 is Let Go, a mini memoir in two parts (Family and Friction) published by The Pound Project. It’s my first time crowdfunding a project and the book is only available for a limited time (3 weeks). I’d love it if you could support the book. ❤️🙏🏽

The Baggage Reclaim Sessions podcast 🎧crossed the 5 million downloads mark last month 🔥🥰🙏🏽 so wanted to pop up and mark the moment.

Just over two years ago, I stopped the pod, thinking I was done for good. I was a bit pooped and needed to step back and reconfigure my relationship with work and creativity. Afterwards, I heard from so many people who love the show and kept relistening to episodes and avoiding listening to the ‘final’ one. Then last year I started to feel the call to have conversations, and 20 months after I hung up my mic 🎙️, I jumped back in. This time around, I also sometimes have guests, which include my brother talking about coming out, Lindsay C. Gibson, author of Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents, and my pal author of Modern Friendship. It’s been so much craic.

Thanks to everyone who listens and supports the show and who also loves Baggage Reclaim, which will be 20 years old later this year. If you haven’t already checked out the pod, it’s on all podcast players, including Apple and Spotify.

P.S. Before anyone asks why I’m not busting out my trademark moves in celebration, I’ve been recovering from surgery since the start of the year. Soon come though 🤣💃🏽

When I talk to people struggling in the aftermath of a breakup or fallout, often what blocks them from beginning to heal is the story they’re telling themselves about what happened or making out like the other party was perfect 👀 Rejecting the truth leads to self-abandonment and self-criticism.

My brother joined me again for the latest episode of The Baggage Reclaim Sessions podcast 🎧 We talk about something that so many people grapple with: that feeling that there’s ’something about you’, that you’re ’not good enough’, why it’s there, and how we’ve challenged these painful notions. When we’re in a cycle of breaking up and getting back together or staying in an unfulfilling or shady relationship long past its sell-by date, getting compassionately honest with ourselves is crucial. Becoming more aware of the emotional baggage driving our pattern and what isn’t truly right for us puts us on a path to setting ourselves free and enjoying more loving, intimate relationships.

The likes of therapy and coaching can be invaluable in helping us process our past, understand and know ourselves, and cultivate healthier relationships and choices. Healthy boundaries are critical as a result. Part of the reason we might work with a therapist or coach in the first place is precisely because we’re struggling with boundaries so the therapeutic relationship needs to help facilitate that. And if that’s not possible and, in particular, not being encouraged, we’ll do ourselves more harm than good if we continue that relationship.
