Loved hunting for each of these underground ammo stores . Originally used by small trains to unload the bombs into the stores . We found six in total but after lots of research we have found there maybe atleast four more and two of them could be bigger than this one . Kevin Wilson

A cool concrete lined services tunnel that resembles the london underground untill it changes into a very nice brick lined section . Possibly used as a tramway a long time ago before being reused to carry cables through the chalk cliffs around this large quarry . Olight UK

Woodlands fort in Plymouth was constructed as part of a line of palmerston forts designs to protect the naval dockyards . It was built in the 1860s by local builders and the royal engineers due to fears of a french attack led by napoleon the third . The fort was released by the military in 1920 but used as tores and a strong housing for troops during WW2 . The site then remained serlict for years before eventually having grade 2 listed status and being taken over by the council as a form of community centre . Most of the fort has been tidied up and can be viewed by the public but we wanted to see the counterpart gallery thay protected the ditch around the fort . Abit of a squeeze through the embrasures and we was inside a very unique structure . Two floors of firing positions with staircases each end and a lovely original slate flooring seperating the two levels awaited us but shamefully the the place had suffered alot of vandalism . There was a central tunnel on the lowest floor that followed an incline that would have once came out inside the fort but is now blocked up .

We found these incredible two tiered caponiers hidden deep beneath tonnes of backfil . This was one of our best finds this year and although we got loads of grief from the DGA it wont stop us uncovering more secret places from this place . These were constructed sometime around the 1800s as part of the forts outer defences but unfortunatley the council completely buried them leaving nothing visible from the surface . fans Olight UK Kevin Wilson S.A urban explores

We was so close but yet so far to getting into this huge naval bunker system in the centre of Plymouth. Unfortunately after spending a couple of hours walking around the perimeter and finally getting past the huge razor wire covered wall we hit a stump . We headed straight for the guard room knowing that would be the easiest way into the tunnels below but it wasnt to be . The way forward sealed by a solid steel sheet with pieces of angle welded across it to make it extremly strong. Completely gutted we spent some time looking around the surface structures before making our way out the front gate . This magazine or ammunition store was part of a very large gun battery that consisted of multiple battery's built almost as one defence . Small battery's like this one which I believe was for some 6 inch guns surrounded a much larger solo big gun . Apart from one huge piece of graffiti this place was in really good condition and by the state of the woodwork its clearly quite water tight still . At the end of the tunnel we found lots of old pencil drawings but of the naughty kind. The horseshoe bat just chilling out was a lovely site and didnt even wake to our presence so wasnt disturbed . "Lest we forget"

Amazing murals around WW2 shrapnel damage on a bridge in Plymouth . The last two images are of an air raid shelter nearby that I dug out enough to stick my head inside . Unfortunatley I could see that the council had peeled the roof off and completely filled the whole tunnel complex . While walking about an old quarry I stumbled across an abandoned train line with a tunnel leading off into the chalk . It would be rude to not take a look inside .

I still cant believe this has remained hidden below ground for so long . The brickwork and all the remaining features inside absolutely blew me away . The structure was designed to power a big gun using water pressure from the large water tanks .
