🚧 Major roadworks in North Dane Way, Chatham, from 2 June to 10 August 2025.

⛔ Road closure between Lords Wood Lane and south of Ryegrass Close will be in place, with a diversion route via Princes Avenue, Prince Charles Avenue and Lords Wood Lane.

A new access road and roundabout are being built to serve Taylor Wimpey's 800-home East Hill development. In the future, a new spine road linking North Dane Way and Capstone Road will be created. The first phase of development, named Capstone Oaks, will feature 91 homes.

For any enquiries about the road closure contact Medway Council on 01634 331165 during normal office hours or email [email protected].

🏗️ Work to restore St John's Church in Chatham town centre is nearing completion.

Since our site visit in February, the scaffolding is now coming down and the reopening is on track for autumn 2025.

The £3.3 million project will transform the Grade II*-listed church into a multi-functional place of worship with a café, facilities for events and classes, meeting spaces, and a music venue.

Members of the public can join a site tour on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, free of charge.
