A few weeks ago, we surprised my beautiful Mum for her 75th birthday ❤️

I think her face says it all when my brother brought out the cake 🎂🥹

One of the highlights of the evening was surprising her with her best friend, who she’d lost touch with over 45 years ago. The look on her face when she walked through the door was priceless 🫶

Safe to say they were inseparable all night and acting like teenagers again 😂

This weekend I attended our first UK community event!

I think what hit me most was looking around the room and realising how many women were courageous enough to share their stories, celebrate each other and be in an environment that lifted them up ✨

So many different backgrounds, stories and reasons for starting but all wanting something more for their lives.

One thing I’ve learned over the last couple of years is that the people around you matter!

Two years ago, I had very little belief in myself, was stuck in an environment that drained me and honestly dreaded the thought of my future looking exactly the same.

Today, I run my own online business, mentor women who want more for themselves and join my community full of business owners across the UK.

A gentle reminder that sometimes changing your life starts with changing who’s in the room with you 🤍

A lot of firsts, sunshine, good company and easing into Somerset life.

The only regret I have is not trusting myself sooner…

Staying out when you want to go home.
Saying yes when you want to say no.
Staying in environments that drain you because you don’t want to upset anyone.
Keeping the peace instead of being honest.
Ignoring that feeling in your stomach that something isn’t right.

I think most of us know a lot sooner than we like to admit.

You know when you’re exhausted.
You know when a friendship feels one sided.
You know when a job is draining you.
You know when you’ve outgrown an environment.

But instead of listening, you convince ourselves you’re overthinking it.

That it’ll get better.
That you should be grateful.
That everyone else seems happy doing it, so maybe you’re the problem.

I did that for years.

I tried convincing myself I should love London.
I should love the career I’d built.
I should love the life I was creating.

But I wanted something different.

I wanted freedom.
More spontaneous trips, more time with family.
More energy for things I enjoyed.
And to stop feeling like my life was something I squeezed in around work.

My gut already knew it… I just took a while to listen to it.

And if you’re reading this feeling your stomach turn…

Maybe you’ve known for a while too.

Maybe it’s time to trust yourself 🤍

A lot has changed over the last year, so thank you for being here. Maybe me and you are on similar journeys right now… who knows!

I think we’re all just figuring life out as we go really, and I think that’s probably part of the fun really 🌱
