The world famous Reno Air Races have gone, made their final left turns around pylons in the desert on the outskirts of the city… but hello Roswell Air Races instead!

The Reno Air Races have moved from Reno in Nevada to Roswell in New Mexico. This year, 2025, will be the first time in the new venue.

The UK’s General Aviation world has chalked up another year of relatively low accident numbers, with both serious incidents and fatalities well below long-term averages, according to the CAA’s latest Annual Safety Review. But is that because we’re flying less?

In total, there were 158 accidents and serious incidents in 2024 — well below the 10-year average of 202.
