Community Magazine for parents living on Kings Hill, Kent. Kings Hill Mums is a new, free magazine to serve the many parents who live here. We do NOT charge VAT!

Kings Hill has a unique demographic with more young families living in one area than anywhere else in Kent (awaiting the official data from KCC). With more residential areas springing up all the time there are constantly new families moving into the area and Kings Hill Mums wants to make sure that everyone knows what’s available to them and their children, from pregnancy, baby and toddler through

to secondary school. The magazine will feature community news and events, local places and events, local businesses including local mums running businesses from home, Kings Hill Dads, family recipes, competitions, reviews and much more. FREQUENCY

The A5 magazine will initially print bi-monthly, publishing at the beginning of January, March, May, July, September and November, starting with September/October 2011. CIRCULATION

2500 copies of the magazine will be distributed in Kings Hill. These will go direct to parents through the book bag systems at Kings Hill School and The Discovery School. Copies will also be available from Kings Hill Pre-School, The Community Centre, Costa Coffee, The Medical Centre and many other places in Kings Hill where us mums can be found. EDITORIAL

Reminder that the Secondary School Opening Evening is tomorrow!
Kings Hill Primary School's annual Secondary School evening is taking place next Thursday (19th June) from 17:30-18:30 on the school playground. There will be representatives from lots of local secondary schools, alongside ex pupils and their parents from Kings Hill who now attend those schools. This is always a great night and a brilliant opportuity to talk to schools you are interested in with your child and ask teh questions that matetr to you. As always the event is open to everyone locally, not just those with children at Kings Hill School. I highly recommend it for those starting to think about their secondary school journey. 👩‍🏫

There will be representatives from lots of local secondary schools, alongside ex pupils and their parents from Kings Hill who now attend those schools. This is always a great night and a brilliant opportuity to talk to schools you are interested in with your child and ask teh questions that matetr to you. Wonderful classes for parents/grandparents and babies 😍

With babies we sing, there’s no better thing! Musical Bumps baby classes* are designed to introduce your baby to the wonderful world of music at a calm and gentle pace. Trial classes are available! Join us:

🎶 Wednesdays at 10.45am in Kings Hill
🎶 Thursdays at 10.15am in Leybourne Chase

*Older classes are available - we teach children from birth to starting school 😉

You will learn lots of songs and rhymes that you can easily fit into life at home - songs for playtime, bath-time, and bedtime! Music and rhyme are important for a baby's development in non-verbal communication, listening, and understanding. Confidence grows with repetition, and the chance to interact with other babies also promotes social skills.

Babies will enjoy a range of age-appropriate musical instruments, puppets, and props to explore, and there will always be time for parents/carers to chat too. It's never too early to start singing with your baby, so come along as soon as you feel ready to get out and about.
