Migongo Films is the work of Aaron Koch, an award winning filmmaker based in the UK. Aaron has been fortunate to travel the world doing what he loves and to date has produced films in Europe, Latin America, Africa and Eurasia. Another facet of Aaron’s work is freelancing which brings additional varied and exciting opportunities – most notably working as an editor at the London 2012 Olympics. This

experience has made Aaron a very adaptable filmmaker and by utilising his network of talented freelancers he can create a scalable production team that suits each individual project. The purpose of this blog is to promote completed work and to share some the interesting things he is working on.

Here are a few stills from the 2nd film I made for ‘s campaign.

After being rescued from exploitation, Ruby* faced harassment in her community and lost her hope all over again.

‘I couldn’t go out anywhere as people didn’t accept me’, she says. ‘They used to taunt me. I was so broken and unhappy.’

Sadly, it is not unusual for modern slavery survivors to face stigma when they return to their communities.

But against all odds, Ruby courageously rebuilt her life and reclaimed her future. She is now one of our Champion Survivors in Bangladesh who fights to combat stigma and helps other survivors with their recoveries.

Rehena* was just 14 years old when she was trafficked to India to work in a red-light area. Now, she uses her experience to help other modern slavery survivors.
